P.s pictures look great! All wear in good health!!!

While the Daytona C is an exceptional piece to behold in the metal, it is still a far cry from the platinum Daytona. Just ask doctor Tom.

The weight feels lighter than a sub or GMT and MUCH lighter than any PM model. Platinum being the heaviest of them all! Keep saving if the platona is what you truly desire 👍🏻👍🏻

Thanks for your reply! While I'm attracted to them aesthetically equally. The obvious issue is price. I'm sure the platona is worth the money on a good used deal but still the ceramic is a fraction of the price. The main thing after trying the platona was the colour clash and the weight. Like I said. Colour clash I like them both. Great position to be in but hate the constant back and forth! Lol.

Hopefully I can join soon.... My local dealer that said they wouldn't have any for the forseeable future just called saying they are starting to come in.

Sorry I meant that in a good way. Probably should have worded it better. A nice contrast between the ceramic Besel and the dial is what I was getting at.

To the owners of the black dial version,
2 questions. Pics are not helping so much.

1)are the subdials the same silver finish as the previous version 116520?

2)is the dial the same finish as the previous model?

Thanks for any details.

Saw an ad on one of a well known grey market dealer in Japan for USD 20,000.

Dial finish the same but the sub rings are a matte silver finish now. Much more attractive and legible IMHO.

I personally think the dial finish is different for both black and white compared to older models.

That is great to hear, the olde style were too shiny for me.

The dial in the pics above looks matte, this would have been great too...

Had to ask, I expect it will be a while before I get to see one in person ?

I've been gone awhile. Just now saw your posts of your watch. Looks FANTASTICO Ken my friend! I'm in the same boat. I was initially all for the white version but the black looks so good that I'm well on my way to converting.

The OFFICIAL Daytona C 116500 Owner's club

Just joined the club as of yesterday. At first I wanted the black model. But as soon as I saw the white one I fell in love!

A lot lighter on the wrist, the Daytona is a very slim line watch
