Not sure we should call it ghost once it actually materialises, altho grey ghost has a nice Rolls Royce ring to it so not a bad nickname.

I'd probably go for the grey, but in pics I preferred the Elephant while in real life I liked the Vampire more so would have to see them to be sure.

This is what happened from a reliable source within AP: the grey CE42 watch originally had yellow dial, violet subdials, green markers, orange hands and a blue strap. It was internally called the Clown. Someone in AP applied greyscale filter to the photos and they were mistakenly posted online and got very positive feedback and people actually liked it a lot (including me) and now AP is considering producing the watch but it didn't make it on time for SIHH 18.

Now it's known as Ghost.

True story.

Deep down inside I don't want to believe this as true as it can be. The reason being I surely hope as much money they spend on marketing and research they cannot realize this is what people want a true replacement for the rubber clad. I just don't understand how they would think a color combinations like that would be a good seller. Look at the vampire for example absolutely stunning with the ceramic bezel. I went from a 44mm to a 42mm because of size. Then back to the 44 because of lack of ceramic

Still no pictures from the show. I've exhausted nearly every hash tag possible on instagram now. Seems like every other model is there except this one :(

We've established that they didn't take one to exhibit, but the updates to the website following our scathing criticisms mean the watch does truly exist, so good news for many.

It’s a nice watch but I’m done with the 44s. They are too big IMO even though I can pull them off.

42 is the perfect size for me at least.

Major plus now as we have options of the Ti42 Vs Ti44 depending on what suits you best.

I thought the same, but I'm not too sure. Although I do prefer 42mm in terms of size, I much prefer the 44mm pushers. Anyone else of this opinion?

imagine if grey ghost had 44 style pushers. . Haha, I had to say it. But honestly I am excited for this watch when they are available at a decent discount BNIB from grey. Not something I would pay full pop for but then again i've never paid full pop for anything except a hulk one time.

Right-on, Sam. Although I will always prefer the look of the 44 (the pushers and the hour markers), at least now the baby-wristed like myself can finally own a titanium Offshore with a ceramic bezel. Everyone wins!

Do we think that eventually it will be possible to purchase the ceramic bezel to attach to older 42mm ROOs? If so would AP ever do this officially and continue to service the watches? Happy Friday everyone!
