who here owns the Royal Oak perpetual calendar in steel?

Most specifically the silver dial version? What are your thoughts, general opinions? I’m in the market for a full bracelet “sport” piece to accompany my Aquanaut, and I’m considering this and the 15400or (also silver dial).

Naturally, I’m interested in a variety of the Nautilus models (5711R, 5990, or maybe 5726/1A), but it looks like if I stick on those I’m looking at at least a year or so minimum wait time as I won’t go above retail.

Don't own it personally but have tried it on recently as it's an option I've been considering myself. Gorgeous watch - just have the 15407 in the back of my mind every time I look at a bracelet RO option.

Can tell you where there's one sitting in the case just waiting to be picked up however!

TomeOnHand has one, its blue though.

https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=591276

Ive seen both and tried on both. Got to go blue on that one. Its tough to see both, but for that money i would want to see both options before committing.

If it was me i would wait for a Nautilus before getting the 15400OR.

Just picked up a blue last week from a boutique.
Absolutely in love with it.

Not yet but the perpetual will be my next purchase from AP I think. A lovely gorgeous watch.

I just have to decide which one. Too many options including an upcoming one with an ultra thin movement......

Same. I love the 15407, and would definitely purchase one in a second if I could. Unfortunately there are no AP ADs within hours of where I live so it seems unlikely I’ll ever be able to build the “relationship” needed to have one put in front of me. Great picture by the way, that is helpful.

Agreed, would definitely like to see both in the metal. But like I said above, that’s pretty difficult for me to do given my location. Was at the NYC Boutique last weekend and they had nothing. Only other city I visit semi frequently is Vegas and I expect about the same odds there.

I may end up just waiting for one of the Nautilus models to become available. But, man, this is a tough hobby for people without boundless patience. If anyone has a good line on a Nautilus though...

I’m not an owner, but really like this reference.

While I have a preference for the blue dial, the white dial is lovely and makes the incredible moonphase really pop

I believe Material Good, the last AD in NYC, has a blue dial.

I've tried on both and very much prefer the blue -- it is also on my shortlist.

I tried on the blue at the Vegas boutique earlier this year but apparently it was one of the last (if not the last) blue available for 2018.

I tried on the white at the Rodeo boutique mid this year. It's nice, but after seeing the blue, it's hard to make a call on the white unless you already have a lot of blue faces, e.g., 15202. The white sells on the secondary for a few $K less.

The RD2 is coming out soon, but it will be in platinum and will likely be ~2x price wise of the 26574.

Not sure where you could still get a Nautilus for 1 year wait unless you have PP purchase history...

This is definitely a patience game IMO.

Yeah heard some varying info on the RD2, heard a price of ~£150k about but considering the current 26597PT is around that I can’t see an RD2 being platinium at the price?! Maybe IP config?!

Great point, I think the RD2 will be very limited and valuable so I could see AP wanting to make it even more expensive. I also see secondary market going nuts on it, similar to the ceramic perpetual.

The nice thing is that it will separate the distance between RD2 and the RO Perpetual so hopefully it won't devalue or cannibalize demand for the RO Perpetual.
