Here are a few photos of the 1967 GMT sold at Marshall Field's that I purchased over a dozen years ago from the original owner's family. Sold through Marshall Field's and serviced through their contract watchmaker. (Marshall Field's was a high end department store purchased by Macy's approximately 15 years ago.)

Wow! That's a stunning 1655 set! Congrats!

And since you asked .... Here's my 6263 set, 6.05 serial. Original sold at an AD called Slavicks in LA on Jan. 22, 1982, which means this Daytona sat around for awhile before selling.

My key takeaway as well

I believe that back then the high-end jewelry sections at those stores were concessions (even though receipts would have been printed on the store's paper stock). Marshall Fields, up until the Macy's takeover, still sold Omega at many of its stores.

Very interesting the Marshall Fields box. Really loved that store. The original, at least. None of the mall ones were ever close in terms of merchandise or ambiance. Still fun to walk around because much of the physical character remains, but it’s a fraction of what it once was.

Also interesting “fun fact” from that paperwork: Sutters also used to be the Chicago independent RSC until it lost trust status around 4-5 years ago.

Quite a fine set there!

Probably all depends on who owned the jewelry concession at the time.

Thanks for the kind words Jeff, and to all the others that left comments in this thread. Also, thanks Aaron (swish) for the photos of your gorgeous Daytona 6263 post and thanks to anyone else contributing photos of their vintage sets.

Anyone sets out there? Post them up.
