New Panerai PAM 572

I just purchased a brand new Radiomir 1940 45mm PAM 572 with the newer Automatic mechanical movement, P.4000 calibre, executed entirely by Panerai, 13 lignes, 3.95 mm thick, 31 jewels, Glucydur balance, 28,800 alternations/hour. KIF Parechoc anti-shock device. Power reserve 3 days, two barrels. 203 components.

The movement features the Off - centered oscillating weight micro- rotor design which makes the movement much slimmer. This design is similar to the distinctive micro-rotors inside many of the Patek Philippe automatic movements

I synced the watch, which also has the seconds hacking feature, with NIST Standard Government Time over 10 days ago. I just re-checked the watch and am very happy to report that is is within less than 1 second of the current SYNC time !!!!

I wear the watch every day and rest it in the crown up position at night. I have not wound the watch since I re-set the time to daylight savings time on November 1st. I think that is pretty good performance. The lume is also incredible, I can now get rid of my nightlight!!

Gorgeous watch! Love the movement!
The more I look at that reference the more it grows on me...seriously thinking about getting a 572 for me and a 620 for my wife for Christmas...

Thanks for the warm wishes!!

Abdon- great idea for the Holidays. Have you seen the 620? My AD did not have one, but that was OK as I wanted the larger diameter anyway. I read somewhere that the 620 was limited to 500 pieces, so best of luck, post a picture if you find one.

My 572 is still right on the money, accuracy wise, I am very happy about that

That's a beauty. I just did a review on the PAM619 with the same movement. That one is the Titanium version. Definitely nice!

Congrats

Great piece! Can the hour hand jump by the hour with the second hand running for time zone changes?

45mm is the ideal size between the 42mm and 47mm Radiomir's 1940.
