Netflix The Messiah
While sometimes very slow, I really enjoy this series. I’m wondering where this will go next... is this person real.. is this how it would occur in real life... I presume people would go nuts ..
I won’t spoil this show, but it’s among my recent favs. It’s at times painfully slow. I had to forward through scenes because I just wanted to see what happened next.... but it’s well done. Critics despise it... but critics, to their dismay, are far less relevant than ever before. |

Gave it three episodes. If you cannot get something going in the first three episodes I don't have high hopes for the rest.

It was OK. Not great, but not awful either.

I think Netflix is pretty great BUT I don't think I'd consider it the Messiah.
Maybe just a saint. It obviously has its good and bad days. |

I found it a fascinating story that hasn’t been touched by media.. it’s a bit slow but I’d recommend it. For those who don’t have the patience to watch it, I suggest just watching the last episode. That pretty much sums it up., we don’t know whom this guy is nor why he’s there. And... it seems like he doesn’t either, at times .. it’s funny to watch in the show how governments fear him and monitor his every move.
And what I like about this show is in some weird way it’s not religious... it’s sort of political but also Tom Clancy esque.. |

Makes you think. Sometimes just how easy it is. Or could it be. Transgressing religions. Doing the right thing. And keeps you thinking. Nicely done. Wanna see more.

I think I will wait for the next season. The second coming, if you like.

Torn on this show. I was sorely disappointed with Dracula (on Netflix) and prefer not to waste my time on this one based on the mixed reviews.

Ok, for those whom have watched this show, what do you think is occurring??
My question.l who is this guy that has the plane crash ??? And seriously, who is the guy that survives the bombing.. is one the Antichrist and the other the messiah. Or do we yet know. I’m unsure what I think. I do believe the plane crash was sabotage and I do believe people are raised from the dead. Of course, the show won’t come out and say what happened. I feel Netflix s downfall is their abundance of contractually obligated series.., I love the messiah show, but it very easily could have been 4 shows maximum instead of 8. It’s painfully slow in what it has to say, but I’m fascinated to see where the show goes. I just hope it gets where it’s going quicker than season one. The whole suicide bomber thing was needless or took too long. It’s obvious the “real” messiah wouldn’t advertise via walking on Water (right?). it it also seems like the bearded guy is content with letting the people,decide.... he doesn’t seem to care what people think. Curious to know people s thoughts on whom this guy is. Also, what would, happen if the messiah did return .. or God returned. People would go insane. It would be pandemonium. Jobs would be vacated and caravans formed. .. I’d continue working. Just saying it would be chaos worldwide. |

We are on the last episode of this. Really enjoying it.
I wouldn't say it was "slow" - it's not an 'action movie' and needs to do a fair bit of character development, particularly given several central complex characters. Very thought-provoking on the subject of religion and how people/cultures deal with it. I do hope it is 'going somewhere' however.

I'm on the second last episode now and don't think I'm the biggest fan. Some parts were interesting but that's about it for me.
