It too him 4 years to find the correct screwdriver. Maybe he ask a slower watchmaker than Vanessa about the screwdriver size.

Or he looking for a 1,6" screwdriver which take some time to find.

What is best a custom Rolex or a Rolex that is stuck in custom?

Buy a professional camera and you´re a professional
photographer, buy a flute and you own a flute.

Please just answer a couple of questions Vanessa:

1) How do you tell time? I know it has something to do with the big hand on something and the little hand on something but I forget exactly.

2) And how do I service my own watch?

And BTW, Thanks again for the great job on my Omega Seamaster 50th anniversary GMT. Runs great and the bezel is like butter now! Only sorry you weren't there when I came by to pick it up.

Here's my feedback thread: http://www.rolexforums.com/showthrea...03#post6058003

Ripple in the time-space continuum.

Never good to generalize....all amateurs are not created equal !!
Plus you should be nice to polite amateurs as, afterall, many will screw the watch up and you can charge more to fix it !!

You may be driven crazy but you will be compensated for it !!!

90/10 rule... 90% of the time the people you deal with are 100%, 10% of the people you deal with are not worth the 1%. LOL

Make a deal with you...you don't treat critically ill patients..I won't repair watches. Fair? Same goes for plumbing, electricity, and pool repair. Vanessa-you missed an impressive Monsoon storm today.

A man's got to know his limitations.
I find watchmaking and repair fascinating, and I woould loove to watch it being done.
But I would never attempt doing anything myself.

It is apparently very easy, there was a Soviet physician who even performed one on himself in Antarctica in the 60s. Just google the, uhm, interesting pictures of it and see for yourself.
