Apollo 8 arrived at my local OB, should I buy new or preowned here?

I dont own any Omega, and I put down deposit for the Snoopy already.

Hi, my OB called me and said they had a Apollo 8 came in. And they said it might be the last one that will come in.

So I went to the OB today, looked at the watch and it's amazingly good. Watch is light in weight and dial is very detailed. I like it. And I ask them if any discount and they said no. They said OB never discount. (No purchase history and never own Omega before).

But what they offer me was the leather strap with the deployment for free, also he gave me the black with yellow strip NATO for free too. Seems like a good deal.

Now, I did some looking in Chrono24 and watchrecon, the pre-own is around $7900-$8200 range, or a new one with Oct 2020 dated for $8500.

I think the extra leather strap with deployment is roughly $600 and the NATO is $160. So I saved $760. So buying in OB new vs a re-seller, I will pay around $800 more. But I can use my CC to pay and get more points.

1) If you were me, will you buy from OB (new) or buy preowned?
2) How well it withhold it's value after couple years?

Buy new. That's not a bad deal considering what they are throwing in.

Probably will not hold its value, but I doubt it will drop by much.

Buy new without hesitation ! The gap is so small and you will be happy to have the boutique experience and start a nice relationship with your dealer. (especially if you are looking to grab a Snoopy down the road...)

Two weeks ago I contemplated purchasing the Apollo 8 while at my local OB. They were going to switch out the band for a clasp and accompanying strap. No discount on the watch and I purchased a Omega PO from them several years ago. Instead I went with the white dial Speedmaster Racing. I would definitely purchase new over a used or gray market since there is not much difference in price.

Thanks for all your reply. I already had deposit on snoopy before 10/5. But the experience from the OB is a lot more welcoming than any ROLEX AD

Without a significant price difference I would go new.
