I strongly dislike the soda and comic book nicknames. All of them. Seems juvenile to me, but some people don’t understand reference numbers I guess.

I don't like the nickname at all. I don't currently own any watches on a jubilee band, but I don't consider it feminine versus the "masculine" oyster band.

I like the nicknames and i already call the jubilee BLNR as Batgirl .

It is more easy to say Batman , Pepsi , Hulk , Rootbeer or Kermit then BLNR , BLRO , something LV or BLA BLA ... what ever...

Said this before, batgirl is sexy like the new watch. Plus Batman would not wear jubilee.

The influencers have spoken: it's Batgirl. What 100 people on TRF think about it does not matter.

Please don’t call it a Batgirl.

Please don't call any ROLEX a Batgirl...well, maybe a 26-31mm DJ w/ a blue dial. It's a silly name for a nice watch.

If anything, call it The Old Bruce Wayne as the Jubilee is an unwritten requirement for moving into a florida retirement community :)

Very well said Padi. I too unfortunately wonder the same thing every time I log in. Not only childish but in this case inflammatory nonsense.

i want to come up with some witty quip about Bane and being born into darkness but my coffee isn’t kicking in yet.

i don’t really dig batgirl, but what would be a decent alternative? catwoman? (cue anne hathaway in that suit. lordt.)

Since when is a Jubilee bracelet exclusive to girls or women? Dumbest moniker I have ever heard

Why not just Batman on jubilee?

Kinda like in the ‘80s & early ‘90s there was the (Porsche):

Turbo and Slant-nosed Turbo. Both incredible, but one was just ... more!

The “Batman” and “The Batman on jubilee.”

All I know is that I prefer the look of the oyster to the Jubilee on the BLNR. As for the nicknames, I’m not really a fan of any of them.

It is still BLNR, Blue/Black or Batman, if that is what you prefer. I don't think it is any different because of the bracelet change. The Pepsi or BLRO is the same whether on jubilee or oyster--we just use the reference number or the denote the material (ss vs white gold). "Batgirl" seems to have a connotation of disdain. As someone who has owned both (previously on oyster and currently on jubilee) I think that they are both beautiful watches. Neither is more masculine nor feminine than the other--just a different look. Remember, the GMT on jubilee has historic roots. Nobody ever thought it looked like a "girl's watch" before.

Applying a feminine name to a men’s bracelet makes no sense whatsoever. Calling a 40mm men’s professional watch “girl” anything is patently ridiculous.

Stupid is as stupid does. Time to retire the stupid batgirl nickname.
