From the above picture you can clearly see the difference in the thickness of the #'s on the bezel.

Edit: my numbers are a bit thicker as well. Just found a picture from the day I purchased it (Oct 2018).

I kinda prefer the MK2 bezel, feel the newer batches are a tad too dark (also from the attached picture).

Good point! I personally prefer slimmer with better defined edges numbers on the bezel than new fat numbers

So is this a MK1 watch with a MK2 dial?
How much did the repair cost? If you don’t mind me asking.

I can also relate to an issue someone posted with their DD's sunburst dial, you could actually see that with the naked eye as the flow of light is interrupted as it passes though the burst effect. It had a very tiny scratch I think, but it could be seen easily as sunburst dials finicky with light.

Macro photos and loupe mania is making people stress about nothing, imho.

Seriously

The way you have the watches positioned the BLRO looks significantly larger over all. And we know that’s not true.

I can confirm the MK3. I was at my local RedBar GTG, and there was both a fresh Pepsi (2 weeks old) and Gold-Rootbeer.

MK3 Impressions:
-The RED has way more "brown" in it. (Too Much perhaps)
-The Blue is now a perfect Navy blue.

So now the Pink/Purple is resolved but the MK3 to my eye is Navy/Burnt-Red. In fact seeing the Rootbeer next to it, the red was closer to the Rootbeer's bottom half. Especially in dim/shadow lights.

Instead of calling the MK3 a "Pepsi" it looks more like the "Man of Steel - Superman" :-)

To be fair to mattsrs, for these kinds prices (and I'm just talking about MSRP), these type of details should be perfect.

Have to agree but I have it on good authority MkV11 was spotted and a little later MKV111 would expect the MKV11 version to be worth a $1000000, as it was only spotted for a very short time.

First off, this isn't a big deal to me, I just find it interesting. If you don't believe there are variations to the bezel insert colors I think you're color blind lol, if you don't care just click on. Either way, please leave the negativity at the door and just be happy this isn't another investment, availability or "is it safe" thread ...

I saw a video from Watchfinder on YouTube recently (haters gonna hate) and they had a macro close up of the PP 6102P and it had the exact same paint "errors".

if they could just keep going and make Mk IV in black, i'd be THRILLED.

however, that Mk III is absolutely the stunner of the lot.

That's my point. Yes we are not living through macro lenses but you don't see these issues on cheaper watches like Omegas or even Grand Seikos

Really, what do you expect for six figure watches, maid service, concierge, a free beater watch thrown in? And ironically when you take handmade watches, they can actually have more inconsistencies because human hands are less accurate than a robot. If Rolex hand painted the watch hands the price would be significantly higher. The prices and quality are very appropriate imho, especially considering about a million watches are coming out from about 3-4 locations.

A Rolex is mostly machine made and it really isn't expensive in the scheme things. And for what it does, tell reliable accurate time while maintaining very high durability, Rolex is damn near the best in the business at consistently doing this with an attractive and timeless product.
Until I can see a "deficiency" at arms length with the naked eye, it isn't an issue.

There is “entertainment value” here; not saying it’s worthy of labeling as variances inherent to the process. On a scale of 1 to 10 - “10” being, lots of entertainment value, this is a lonely “1” and falls under “for kicks and giggles; cause I’m somewhat of a visual Type B personality...”

Everyone wants to complain about the bezel color(s) on this watch, but imo the darker colors look much closer to the old bakelite inserts...which is the very insert that started the Pepsi nickname. I personally enjoy them, regardless of what shade they may be coming in.

The only way to know if there are true MkXX is to confirm via a large data pool over a longer period of time. N of a couple here or there just isn't enough.

If it's true that they finally nailed the blue and the red, then that's great news for all. The colors have always been off and, frankly, a turn-off.

BLRO would be much more appealing to me if it used the blue from the BLNR.

I'll say that I just got one a week or two ago and the blue is DARK -- way too dark, to the point where I'm actually really disappointed in the watch because the bezel just doesn't pop and the whole thing just falls flat for me. That would definitely support the existence of a MK3 bezel. However, I also wouldn't be shocked if there were pretty significant color variations bezel-to-bezel. What I've heard from people who seem to be credible on the subject -- take this with a grain of salt, as I have -- is that impossibly small differences in dye/material can create very noticeable differences in colors of ceramics, so that could also be what's going on.
