Thank you, Pacha, daveo5, WatchGuy1966, mactruck, TommyBahama18, mudd, mr_gray, HarryFlashman, epicurus, Hendrikus, TruthBalance, stevedssd, quadraaa, and datejustrms!!!!

All of your kind words mean a lot to me! You all make me feel very humble and welcome here!

Oh yeah, to MickCollillin1916 and ferrissteve11, you both noticed the Alden Indy boots. These are the black 401’s. Also have the 403’s and used to have a pair of 405’s. Great vintage boots right out of the box!!!

Thanks again,

Michael

Congratulations on the Sub, Michael! IMHO, you’ve caught the spirit of a Rolex Sub perfectly! I concur that this the best post in years. And I have to say, having spent a couple of nights on the Grayback in Subic, you Sub squids are better men than I! Thanks for posting this. Semper Fi! Beef

Thank you, JohnGT3RS, Sublovin, Goodwill63, daOnlyBG, Beef, and billfredericks, for taking the time to share your warm thoughts and replies!

Yesterday, I dropped my Submariner off at the RSC for (I’m guessing) it’s first service. Man, I’ve only had it for two weeks but sure miss it already!!

As you probably know, the RSC estimates 4 weeks for completion of service.

So if anyone has an extra Submariner lying around, please send it to me for awhile! I promise I’ll take great care of it and send yours back as soon as mine comes home!!!

Thanks again!

Michael

Missing my Submariner something awful!

Just completed week two of it’s four week stay at the RSC...

Well, I’m “over the hump” anyway!!!

I was looking through my photos (pining away, ha,ha!) and found this picture I hadn’t shared before. Taken just before my first bike ride with my Submariner!

In case anyone is wondering, “it was safe” to wear while riding my bike, but I must admit, I had a hard time keeping my eyes on the road!!

Thanks for looking,

Michael

I really really enjoy your post!!!!!! For me my Rolex watch is not "only a watch" either, is a piece of marvelous micro mechanic that made me a lot of company! My father give me his DJ TT 30 years ago and from them I always wear a Rolex in my wrist.

Congrats! Love my 16610 and wear it most of the time. One piece of advice, either before it leaves RSC or when you get it back, have locktite put on the screws.
Like me, it looks like you’ll wear it for everything. The screws sometimes back up. The locktite will save you from that
