Unicorns, leprechauns, and the BLRO

So, my grail is a rather simple -- but currently not offered -- watch. I'd like a SS ceramic 126710BLRO on a fully brushed SS oyster bracelet.

Let's say for the sake of argument that the stars align, a leprechaun looks kindly on me, unicorns roam the earth, and by some miracle I'm able to source a SS 126710BLRO on the jubilee bracelet from an AD. Short of buying a new SubC and swapping bracelets, are there any good ways to get an oyster bracelet for the SS 126710BLRO?

Yes the oyster bracelet on the BLRO would be a nice option, but you would have to first get a BLRO, then source a bracelet, and at what cost? I have owned the BLRO and it is really a beautiful watch on the jubilee. As alternative, why not buy the discontinued 116710 BLNR? It was a very popular piece and already has the oyster. Albeit, it does cost a bit more, as it still sells at a premium on the secondary market and it has an older movement. I also like the 116710 LN all black GMT seems to be the modern bargain.

Rolex has made a ton of GMT moves the past few years. I think GMT updates will stop for a while, then we'll see an all-brushed steel GMT option offered alongside the Jubilee option. PM GMTs will still have PCLs.

It'd be a genius move by Rolex in my opinion: the Jubilee still differentiates the GMT from the Submariner, and an eventual all-brushed option provides an oyster look while still differentiating steel from PM GMTs.

How easy is it to swap bracelets?

I’m in the lucky position of having a 2018 hulk and months old pepsi. I’d swap as long as the fit was good and no chance of it coming undone.

I was under the impression this could not be done.

Man, I love that watch.

So, the question is how to make it easier done than said?

Someone posted pics of a sub blro bracelet swap. The no date sub looked amazing on jubilee. Just buy both!

My understanding is that any AD can order you a sub bracelet, as long as you provide them with a sub serial number (over here, at least). A friend who owns a sub could help you with that.

It’s probably not as difficult as you think. You might even be able to swap it straight across with someone. I plan on doing the same thing. II’m fairly certain my AD is going to just order me one. If not, I’ll send the hulk in when it’s service time without a bracelet and buy one. Im waiting for the price to regulate, I’m not paying 18k for SS plus another 3k for a bracelet.

Okay, good to know. I actually have a SubC Date, so if that works I'm going to look into making the dream come true.

find yourself a good bracelet; probably easier these days than finding a submariner. this bracelet is from my LV, and the jubilee is on that watch.

Ha! Always liked that expression! A more family friendly version is: "If my Aunt had wheels, she'd be a wagon."

Get this tool for the spring bars to swap out bracelet. It takes less than 15 minutes to change bracelets. Can not imagine changing bracelet without this tool anymore.

What spring bars did you use to put the jubilee on the Hulk? I’m intrigued as the 69200 jubilee has a 1.5mm body and 1.2mm ends whereas the 97200 oyster has a 2.0mm body and 0.9mm ends. I can see how the 97200 would fit the Pepsi but not how the jubilee fits the Hulk....?

P.S. pics of the Hulk on jubilee would be good.
