Financially it makes little sense, but if you don't wear/like your 520 you may as well do the swap.

well I am interested in your Daytona.

I wouldn't sell or trade, just add whenever I can.
But seriously I can get your Daytona :) :)

My opinion is if you look out a few years the BLRO is a 10K watch. Someday this madness will end, and when it does, the MSRP for the Pepsi is 10K. The 520, depending on dial and condition (if B&P) is a 16-20K watch right now, and rising. They are no longer made, and will continue to rise.

This is a horrible trade imho.

Sell my SS Daytona 116520 for new GMT Pepsi

Never trade or sell your SS Daytona.
I have a few watches, the last I will sell if needed is the Daytona.
When the pre-owned market takes a dive, this watch will retain value best.
Hulk, Pepsi or Nautilus will take a much bigger hit.

I’m in the minority on this one. I would make the trade if I were you, as the new Pepsi is a nice watch in my view.

Worst trade ever!

Sell the Daytona, and buy a Pepsi with that money. They wanted cash on top too! The gall of some people.

OP, I’m not going to repeat what everyone else here is saying (terrible trade bla bla bla). If you really want the Pepsi you need to find an honest grey market dealer who will offer you fair market value for both watches. There are plenty in here. It sounds like this is the first guy you ran into, possibly doesn’t have much of a reputation in the industry and is just trying to take full advantage of you, maybe sensing you didn’t do your homework.

Exactly. The gray dealer needs to give you around $5000 for the trade.

On second thought, no one in right mind will do that. OP just posted this thread to get lots of comments.

I understand the rationale of doing this trade because you rarely wear the Daytona, but this has a high chance of future regret.

Wear the Dayton regularly for a month or so and see if your interest is reignited.

If you move forward, don’t add cash.

if the trade value is right and you don't wear the daytona, sure! I love my pepsi. I wear it a lot more than I ever would a 116520.

Not a deal I would do. 116520 is really a special watch and no longer in production.

No freaking way. But hey, it’s your watch. I’m sure we will see a post later where someone said he scored big on a Daytona 116520 with a Pepsi.

Sell and buy. This trade wouldn’t make any sense from a value perspective
