Battle of the Two Tones

Figured it might be fun to have a poll of four SS TT's that are available right now to see what everyone thinks. And I am seriously thinking a TT is my next purchase, so what the hell right?

The watches are:

The most classic TT of them all: The Bluesy
The "hottest" TT of them all right now: The CHNR Root Beer
My favorite TT at present: Chocolate Dial YachtMaster
The newest TT on the block: SDTT

If offered any of these by my AD, I am going to the CHNR. Absolutely stunning in person.

Bluesy out to an early and commanding lead.

I probably should have added a Daytona so most everything was represented. Oversight on my part.

Early returns also suggest that perhaps the SDTT really is polarizing, and that I might be the only person in the world that loves the YM!

CHNR. Bluesy is way too flashy for my taste. I’m also not a yellow gold fan.

To me the CHNR with the bluesy a close second.

I’ve e seen them all in person. If you are a lover of two tone watches and don’t mind black dials, hold off buying until you see an SDTT on your wrist.

CHNR has a pretty good lead with Bluesy a few votes behind. SDTT getting torched, and the poor YM is nobody's favorite but mine. Heh.

CHNR and Bluesy are 2A and 2B to me and I go back and forth all the time on which I like better. The only one I am meh on is the SDTT.

Bluesy by a long long long mile. Iconic and that blue kills every other dial.

Sea-Dweller 18K/SS would be my pick.

Better than that would be a two-tone Daytona with a white dial. I think that’s the best two-tone Rolex makes.

Finally, another Chocolate dial YM! CHNR is cruising toward victory.

Battle of the Two Tones

There should be a qualifier here: you had to have seen both watches in person at AD and tried both on. I can say I didn’t care for the bluesy but when I saw it and tried it on I absolutely had to have it. Most bluesy incomings have been this way too. In person the watch is just wow.

Agree - the others are very nice but the CHNR is the standout for me.

The TT Submariner with the blue dial is the one for me. I like the Root Beer but RG does not work for me. I have the TT Tudor Black Bay with the champagne dial and am waiting on the TT Chronograph. They work great but lack the luster of the Rolex models. But at the price they work.

CHNR in the lead by a dozen but the Bluesy really making a respectable showing as a true classic. I do wonder if this exact pole is done again in 5 years how it would work out. Will the CHNR age well, or is it just a "hot watch" because ALL GMTs are on fire right now?

The SDTT and YM Chocolate have actually picked up a few votes each, so both very much niche TTs around these parts. I expected as much I suppose. I do wonder how the Daytona would have changed the dynamics had I included it. Ah well....

I suggest after this poll ends you do another poll, and include the winner from this poll plus the most popular TT YG Daytona plus the TT Sky Dweller and then we'll know the ultimate winner. Of course put a link to this poll in the new one too.

This poll has been done 3 times in the last couple weeks, and in each one the CHNR easily wins. This debate is more than settled lol

I have not seen it done those times. I do not check in daily.
