Trade a rolex gmt master ii LN for vacheron overseas 49150??

Someone is willing to trade a VC overseas 2nd gen white Chrono 49150 for my 2014 gmt ii LN plus £400 8 put in

It seems like a really good trade. Heard VC are expensive to service and movement is not as robust.

What's everyone's thoughts?

Wow- yes! Unless you can’t afford the servicing.

I wouldn’t. Rolex is still the default choice in any of these trades even if I am so pissed at them for all these shortages.

It looks like an awesome deal, Im gona try it on next week. I love my gmt ii fits for all occasions. I've got 6.75inch wrist and apparantly the VC 49150 is 12.8mm thick so same thickness as the gmt

Agree. I wouldn’t do the trade either.

I also have a 6.75" wrist and the VC 49150 (black) seems a bit too large in my eyes / for my taste. That being said, the GMTc also seems large to me!

As a watch, the VC is in a different universe altogether compared to the GMTc. I can't even think of where to begin if I had to make a comparison! And your trade deal is amazing.

Just try the VC on to make sure you like the fit.

Sounds look a good deal, VCO has the F Piguet Cal which is very reliable, had one on my AP ROC. I like the 2 gen too with the guilloche dial which I feel you need on the white dial. Just make sure the GMT is the real deal and from a trusted source.

I wouldn't as I personally dislike the Overseas aesthetically. I think the 222 looked way better. But it's up to you.

Just don’t think the lux brands (AP, VC, PP) really do sport watches well. Something about their aesthetics make them look like jewelry first and a watch second. Like art for the wrist. Let’s face it, Rolex invented the sport watch, the others followed. With Rolex, (at lest the 5 digit references) function first, form second. The other way around with the lux brands.

If it’s for keeps, I’d do that trade in a heartbeat but if you’re the type who regularly gets tired and flips watches, I wouldn’t do it. You’ll likely lose or will have a more difficult time trading/selling the VCO if you decide to move on from it in the future.

VC is cool but you're going to lose money holding on to it whereas the GMT should stay solid. Still, if you like the VC then go for it. Just saying that financially it's a poor deal.

I have just traded my VC 49150 black for an GMT II BLNR. Simply because GMT will go upp in value and VC will not.

Apart from that VC OS is a wonderfull watch with great bracelet.

Handled a VC overseas at an AD not too long ago and wasn’t overly impressed. But if you really like the watch go for it!

The VC overseas is nice. I say no.

I would trade it for an AP ROO diver. The 14790st.

They r no more expensive to service then a Rolex.

Do the trade if your ego can handle not having a watch on your wrist that everyone can recognize.
