Rolex explorer II 42mm white dial /or sub
Just some feed back. I have DD 36mm and skydweller white dial . I'm thinking about a everyday watch and I thought the sub would be perfect than I saw that explorer II 42mm . Silly to ask but these are still expensive everyday watches . What watch would you prefer ? Thank you !

Both are great watches, and I think it really comes down to personal taste... or which one makes your heart sing the loudest!
Can go wrong with either one, but I would first pick the sub! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

There are some who believe any Rolex is an expensive everyday watch. I guess we here in the Forum are not those people.
Given the watches you already have, I’d probably opt for the Sub or a black dial Explorer since you already have a white dial. That’s just my 2cents.

Both are the perfect combo quite frankly. It’s not 1 or the other
If I had to pick one, then the exp2 has the GMT function which is useful for me so I’d go for that |

Have both, SubC date, and now a polar explorer II. Very different watches, but i think the explorer II is quite a bit more comfortable. Also love the splash of orange on the dial, and the GMT hand. so my Vote is Explorer II for daily wear.

With that collection, the sub hands down. You already have a white dial dual timezone watch. The sub is a classic plus it has glidelock for comfort. But the polar isn’t a mistake, either.

I would pick up the Sub (specifically the 114060) since that would round out the collection nicely!

If you got wrists smaller than 7”, you should probably go for the sub; otherwise either would be a perfect everyday watch

I’ve had three subs. SS/Black, got sick of seeing it on every guy in every airport in the US. That being said, it was a killer watch. But I sold it. Then I bought the TT Bluesy Sub. Regretted not getting the all gold from day one. Sold that and bought the 18k Bluesy. Still have it, it’s one of my favorite watches still. Then I bought the Black Exp. ii. To replace the Black SS Sub. Great watch. Love it. And I never see them in the wild, which is more my speed. You cant really lose on any of these though. |

Since you have a white dial Sky D, the EXP II black dial would work well with the others.

They’re both great watches. I’ve had the 114060 and the Exp 2 42mm in both black and white dials. My favorite of the three was the Exp 2 in black. I wish I hadn’t let that one go.

Both are great watches, but i would suggest you consider a 114060, if you can manage without a date.

I'd recommend the polar Explorer II. One of the coolest sports watches ever made. You'll rarely ever see another one in the wild, they are generally pretty easy to find and the legibility is outstanding.

I have both the SubC and the Polar. Polar wins hands down and gets 95% of wrist time. While bigger, it wears more comfortably on the wrist.

I owned the Sub C and sold it. Looked amazing off the wrist, however I wish it was a tad bigger. I own the Exp II, polar and I love it. Very comfortable. I have several other popular watches but my Exp II gets the most wrist time, hands down.

try both on, see what gives you the fizz.
The exp2 is 42mm maxi so a bit bigger than sub and the white makes it look a bit bigger to me. I love the polar personally, easier to get retail to. |
