Unworn have dipped below 30k. You might catch one if you can get it quickly. Pre-Owned 28k but they are going quick. Naked no box no papers is not ideal but those are going for less then 28k into upper 26k range.

I expect prices to enter into sub 30k range as AD's are more willing to sell them now.

I just got onto a list for a black dial Milgauss. 0 sales history, they were very nice. They emailed me back and said they will keep me updated as their allocations come in.

As crazy as it may sound you might have a chance to get a Daytona at an AD. It's worth trying now.

Haha Ok.....it's not a big time piece BUT.....they were open to getting the watch. The tone from them was this shouldn't be difficult. And to be frank it shouldn't. I've been offered a sub on the spot in March from another AD.

I think AD's are looking to build the relationship with collectors rather then flippers/ grey dealers. I think the dynamic has shifted that the customer is #1. Not dealers. So I think Daytonas will start showing up onto collectors starting now.

China about to be decimated economically. Europe toast this winter with absurd energy prices and essentially the deindustrialization of the region. Inflation runaway—fed can’t cool it down with rate hikes—rate hikes only serve to destroy demand. Count on two hikes before year end.

Lol yeah—the market isn’t coming back. Any uptick is cancer bounce bear market rally. It’s over for the foreseeable future.

Collector is code name for flipper fyi. I wouldn't tell them that.

Well after reading this thread I think we can all say with absolute certainty that prices have a 100% chance of either going up, or coming down, or staying the same.

To quote Bizcut1 from a few other threads - "As usual, nobody knows anything".

Supply and Demand

Assuming supply stays constant….the real question will be how much demand will there be, considering the crash in crypto, inflation, etc. if there is still money out there to spend, then I could see the Daytona price rising.it’s stabilized now, so I can’t see it going much lower

Exactly this! It's not 50k it's 5K at best....

Wait. Actually, it's free. I just checked, and they are giving it away...

Wait wait .... I just heard that they pay you now; they pretty much will sponsor anyone to take the stainless steel, white dial only, but you have to actually wear it. So I'm automatically out.

They will pay you, though. Down?

Look at the inflation report. Prices aren’t bouncing back anytime soon

What asset class has been a good hedge against this inflation?

I got out of physical gold at $1925 this year to buy my gold Daytona and pay off a car. Gold hasn't been terrible but it mostly reacted to Putin.

Real estate. It is widely categorized as the premier hedge against inflation. I’m in the industry by the way.

Already lots of us are shaking our heads thinking about guys paying $50,000 for a second hand Panda a few months ago.

In five years, pawn shops may full of them.

The 60 year anniversary is 2023. So if the crown does something for the 60th it will be announced at Watches and Wonders 2023, not ‘24

Unless you were predicting something for the 61 year anniversary

I say do it …and make sure to loop back to tell us how it worked out for you. Economy is booming, money is cheap, record low inflation…could even be higher than $50k.

I agree. I think even $19k is possible for preowned. When I bought mine for $20k I felt like I overpaid just a little.

$50k may get us black and white dial combo by the end of October
