Too good of a deal to be true 116519LN 40k
Wanted to know your thoughts on this 116619LN. A few thing that threw me off were the spacing of the Cosmograph. The font of Rolex. And the triangles on the numbers were not as sharp. Could be the picture but the spacing of the Cosmograph is not the same as the pictures I took of a Authentic OF At my local AD. Any thoughts ? I know they have high end clone oyster flexes for cheap ( Swiss noob ). Second pic and last is the 40k one that I’m suspicious of. Can anyone confirm if this is real? Referring to the Daytona with black dial and diamonds with papers.

If you are in doubt, it is better to pass. No point going through the hassle.
Too many super clones these days are floating in the grey market, and some of them are not even detected until many years have passed. |

40 isn't too good to be true anywhere but TRF fantasy land. If you doubt the seller or watch find another you can trust.

Hi bro, the pic of the one you doubt make me doubt as well.
1) I notice an issue on the typo of "Rolex" which definitely looks like 5 digits typo, you can clearly see on the real pics new typo are less kind of serif. 2) Moreover, the Daytona red writing clearly sucks, not crisp and is uneven around subdial edge. I don't think any quality control would let this reach any store. My 2 years old daughter would have done better :D 3) Last, hands rivets look much smaller and cheap than real ones, this could be due to picture quality but.. no no no From what I saw on the Internet, nowadays you can even find better fake than this one. Forget it |

Can you not merely check the serial number? Am I being naive here?

They make fake serials that match the fake card probably I know replica sights offer that. My main concern was seeing the Daytona spaced out Vs the real one in which the letters are close together. Also the R on the Rolex is a little too sharp like times new Roman and not the same thickness as the real. Second is the triangles on the bezel. Not sharp enough. Sad to see this is a reputable dealer also but they didn’t post it in their website. Maybe they traded it not knowing? I’m sketched out I was about to trade my Ym for it and $ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Granted, I'm looking for anomalies, and trying to find them, so may be seeing things that aren't there... But the hands just look a little "off" to me. The most glaring example is the little "bulb" at the end of the seconds hand. See how on the genuine one, the bulb sits precisely inside the black rim of the sub dial, just below the "60" indicator? Now see how, on the questionable one, it overlaps the silver rim, by "60" indicator, just a little?
Maybe seeing things that aren't there, like I said, and not sure I'd have noticed were the question not specifically posed about this one being questionable. |

Can’t comment on the authenticity of the watch. However I did see a 2022 piece sold with an asking price of 41.6k. Now another September 2022 piece is sitting unsold at 42k for 1 to 2 days. Probably 40k is priced to sell. However always do your due diligence.
Edit : the “X” on the ROLEX word does look suspicious |

Actually now that I did some extensive research it could be real. The typography changes when they make the watches. This could be from 2017 - and some new 2022s have the serif font as well Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Might be possible but I’m no expert on authentication. Best still to skip.
