I didn’t get the call, so, incoming anyway
Been eying this one up for a while now but got fed up waiting on the hopelessness that is buying a Rolex at retail with no crazy wait.
Life really is to short (I’ve had a few personal losses recently) and so I saw this one yesterday and did the deal today. No point waiting any longer. Yes I paid a bit more than I could have from an AD but I’m sitting here thinking it’s worth the premium. In fairness, I paid a bit below market rate so that’s still a win in my book. I love rose gold, and having tried both, I agree with everyone who’s said that the TT works really well. Absolutely love this one. Should have done it sooner. And this one with my other Black and Tan love! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Your GMT CHNR is a real beauty, a lovely watch! Congratulations, I hope you can wear it for many years to come in good health! Yes, life is indeed too short. You did right! Still, I´d be gnashing my teeth at having to pay over retail, but it is what it is...

Congratulations! In the grand scheme of things who gives a flying kite what you paid for your watch. I doubt anybody is laying on their deathbed without their dream watch thinking how great they are for not buying it because it was over retail.
When I am dying/dead, I would rather have experienced the enjoyment of having something I wanted, whether I overpaid for it or not. Seems like some strange badge of pride people like to wear. Life is short and should be filled with things that make you smile. Wear it in good health. |

Now THAT’S what I’m talking about!!! Congratulations Scott, it really is a special reference in my humble opinion.
I truly hope the recent losses you have suffered, turn into happy memories. |

Lovely…a really striking watch.
Just out of interest, how long had you been waiting for an AD to deliver this watch. My understanding was TT pieces were much easier to obtain than SS, as I found with my bluesy, which I requested in May and collected in early August |

Great watch, congrats. And yes, sometimes making some moves and not playing the games is worth it. Glad you were able to get it done. Enjoy it!

I agree completely. Life is too short. I lost my husband of 26 years last year, and what I would give to have that time back with him. I also purchased my Rolex pre-owned on eBay, and I've been very happy with it. I didn't want to wait 1+ years and order through an AD, so I went ahead and bought pre-owned. Which is fine with me because I didn't want to spend the extra money that it costs to buy new anyway.
Your watch is gorgeous! I love the RG with the brown. Enjoy! |

Beautiful piece! I don’t blame you one bit, I had to pay a premium for my Pepsi, too, but as you said, life is too short and as far as I know, we don’t get to put another quarter in a machine for a redo.
Wear it in good health! DM Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Congratulations. That's well wicked.
Were I in your situation I would do likewise. I have twice, but not for my TT CHNR. Thems the breaks. |

You’ve done the right thing - got what you wanted and yes life is way to short .. certainly picked lovely looking GMT - if I had to chose from the whole range for me would be BLNR on jubilee .. but if my AD offered me this I’d love it ..
