I think there were some sarcastic responses on here that were misinterpreted. Or perhaps people walked in and got super hot Rolexes because it was in a country where ADs don't adhere to MSRP standards.

If you're looking for something that's not super popular, you may just get lucky. But if you think in major markets like L.A. and Miami that they are going to bestow a still-hot watch on a vacationer, I have lots and lots of doubts.

I’ll be in Vegas for the first time next week, really just have part of one day to site see. I’m not actively seeking anything right now but if someone had an OP41 in green or blue I would grab it.

In Los Angeles I think you will have better luck at the AD at Santa Monica Place and I think a Datejust might not be completely out of the question depending on dial color/bezel combo.

I scored a Sub LV over the summer by calling 3 months in advanced to get a relationship over the phone/email. It was my first wedding anniversary, so tying the purchase to the occasion helped.

It wasn’t Miami or Vegas, but it was somewhere that has a lot of tourism.

If you don't ask you don't get. You won't know what is possible until you ask. Where's the harm?
