Hello, up for sale is a circa 1957 Rolex Datejust 6605 with checkerboard bezel, ‘Swiss only’ matte white dial, dauphine hands and roulette date wheel.

The case and bezel retain their factory lines. The aftermarket tropic 21 style dome crystal highlights the dial. The dial, with its flaws, presents very well and (in my opinion) it “wears larger” than 36mm. Serial number 266,XXX has been partially scratched by endlink rub, but is still legible. Caseback is dated I 57.

Watch with 1065 caliber (butterfly) movement was just serviced by RWT (Tommy) in April 2023 (and passed pressure test). I sent the dial and hands off to be professionally relumed. When charged with black light, the lume glows briefly before dying off. The crown and tube have been updated somewhere along the way. Strapsco brand leather strap included with sale. Sale is for watch only, no box or papers.

All in all, this watch definitely checks the vintage boxes and is a joy to wear. As such, I am providing a 5 day return period for USA buyers if not satisfied (buyer pays return shipping and I will refund your money upon my receipt of the watch in the exact condition in which it was sent to you). International sales are final due to Customs complexities.
