What watch do you want for a "work" watch and which watch do you want for a
dress" watch?

I love my SS GMT II for work. It is perfect, right down to the red 24 hand.

Now for dress I am debating the Yachtmaster or Sea Dweller, yes they are work watches too according to Rolex, but I have my own list. In reality I will probably get the TT GMTII Anniversary as a dress watch. I love having the additional time zone and will probably miss it if I change.

Wish List
For work a Jaeger LeCoultre Extreme World chronograph and for dress an A. Lange & Sohne Lange 1 moonphase.

Now, if for some reason my plans on hitting the lottery don't work out. My Sub for work and a Jaeger LeCoultre Master Compressor Geographic for dress.

The JLC Geo is on the wish list too

Fortunately I work in a "business casual" environment. ( very loose rules, shirt must have buttons & a collar, dress pants & shoes)
So, any of my collection, including the Swatch's work.
BUT, I prefer the Pannies for a couple of reasons.
I must track my time in order to bill clients. So a nice big, easy to read dial works perfect.

I also, very rarely , need to dress to the nines. But either my Rolex SS Sub or the Radiomir fit this bill.
If I need to have gold accents, I do have an old Cartier that works as a dress watch.

For work I wear a Glycine Combat Automatic and usually for dress watch a Cartier Santos. circa 1976.

Hmm. For me the distinction isn't so clear especially since I'm in an office environment all day, but generally it's the SD for the work watch, the DJ for dress and the Tudor for dreaded casual Fridays.

I tend to wear one watch regardless. So I try to go with something tough and durable but that will work equally well with Levis and Gap as much as Boss and Brioni.

So my Panerai is the main watch right now with my Exp II as backup.

I wear what ever I choose wear,brand,type of watch,don't really matter to me.And what, and who dictates, what a dress/work watch is today.If Mr James Bond can wear a Sub dressed in a dinner suite,Tux to those across the pond.Then a Sub is perfectly home in the wet stuff, as it is a dress watch.

On my Panerai I'll wear a calf strap for just about all occasions.

On occasions when I wear a suit, I put on the black alligator strap.
