Snow, Sunset, and a Sea Dweller

We don't get snow in Tucson too often but Mt. Lemmon got a bunch last night. Thought this was a great shot taken from my back yard. I'm not good enough to get both in focus at the same time so i am including a close up of my Sea Dweller too. Enjoy!

I love Tucson. I was stationed at Davis Monthan AFB for 4 years 1996 - 2000. I would move back there in a heartbeat. AAA baseball, and spring training were the best. I remember when a bear mauled a girl on Mt. Lemmon while her family was camping. That was sad.

I also remember taking flight lessons in a little Cesna 150. The instructor took me over Mt. Lemmon, and the plane hit the "Wind Ramp". I about crapped myself. There used to be a little resteraunt near the top of the mountain that had the best smoked turkey sandwich. I went there and played in the snow before lunch. It was 85 down below!

Nice pix.

PS. If you managed to get both the watch and the mountain in focus you would be on the Hubble Telescope.
