Also keep in mind that the silver racing dial/arabic is unique to white gold watch so it's easy to discern by those who recognize that.....not that it matters a whole lot but I get quite a few compliments on mine. More than any other watch I own. I think what you chose also depends on what else you have in your collection. I have a bunch of black face and a rhodium so I wanted the silver which is unique for me compared to what I own.

Great post, never thought of it. I would have said hands down that option #1 was the one but comparing these two pictures, i have changed my mind, would go for option #2.

I used to own #2 so that's my choice.

Also, if buying preowned there can be a big price difference with #2 seeming to be much cheaper. #1 is the newer looking dial but #2 can be normally be had for many thousands less...

I really like number 2 but I already own a lot of daytonas so the arabaic speaks to me as something novel

I hate to say it but both look fantastic; I'd likely give 2 a try. Like them both however.

Number 2 - starker contrast between the dial and subdial colours is my preference

Personal preference choice here again. I like the Arabics on Daytonas as they follow the speedometer/racing theme for me, however the top dial is just too good looking to pass on.

Same here. The photos don't help as they're over magnified, I'm sure on wrist option 2 looks just fine.

I like both a lot, but the Daytona is already too busy with all the numbers, sub dials, etc. I would go with #1 because I prefer the indexes than the big numbers. To me it looks cleaner as well.

I think folks that already own stainless steel daytonas will prefer 2 because it's more unique and striking and only available with PM. People who do not have a Daytona will prefer 1 because it's a more classic rendition....fits their image of what a classic Daytona should be. I prefer the silver racing dial however with the red hands if you can get it!

It appears off white but it is referred to as the 'silver racing dial". If you google that you will see many pictures. The top one I believe is referred to as "steel" now in the Rolex catalog: https://www.rolex.com/watches/config...19ln-0025/dial
Interesting that dial choices for PM white gold Daytona are really limited now in the o line Rolex catalog compared to last year or even a few months ago! Can't get blue, silver racing, steel in full PM white gold anymore it appears...

That’s why I am asking, don’t want blue these are the only options that I like, also I can’t find a good 116509 like in the picture. There is one in Chrono24 but I think the guy swapped the dials.....as he also sell dials.....
