Question about Service

Greetings,

I dropped off my pam112(Panerai Boutique) and a 2 days later I received an email about the estimate of service. It wouldn't stop winding, luckily just needs to be serviced.

Is it normal procedure for Panerai to pay the full deposit before servicing the watch? Rolex makes you pay after it gets serviced. Interesting. Sorry for the dumb question.

horrible customer service at the Panerai boutique.

thanks,

Wow, only two-day turnaround for estimate is very fast service. Sure, pay before is normal. Why do you say horrible customer service???

Sales rep was pretty cold. I was the only person in there(2 other associates and security). Didn't offer me to sit down or anything, I was just standing the whole time. Once i was give the receipt that I dropped off my watch, I noticed my address was incorrect(didn't open it until I got into my car). Maybe im just being whiny. haha

Funny - I just dropped off my PAM115 and Rolex BLNR for service. Paid nothing in advance.

Was told the PAM would be EUR450 and 10-12 weeks and the Rolex EUR690 and 8-10 weeks

Mine 000 been in service since early March and still in progress.
Dont blame them as it is long way from KL to wherever they service the watch.

OP mind sharing which boutique? Just curious as I'm "near the ocean" as well...lol

The best, and most consistent, service I've received has been from the NYC boutique on Madison Ave. Those associates are excellent.

Not sure. I was quite tired that day.

But I have been to other establishments, Rolex, and they ask you to sit or get comfortable. It was just weird that I was the only one in there and the rep didnt really talk to me. just felt cold thats all. like I said im making a big deal about it.

I dropped off my PAM at the boutique for servicing a few days ago, paid nothing, which is understandable since they have my watch.
I expressly did not opt for any polishing. I will get a free PAM strap. I spent some time to choose it and will get to bring it away with me when I pick up the watch upon the completion of the service.
