I owned the DJII and SkyD both in blue and both at the same time. I sold both and they are the same. There's been no change in it in the DJ41. I'll never buy another Rolex with that blue. Too much imho.

They seem to be the same hue color.

I have the blue datejust 41 and the reason I like it so much is it sometimes looks black, to gray/silver, to blue. Interesting perspective, but I think it is a perfect amount of blue compared to the bluesy, smurf or azzurro for example. Most people that I show the watch to didn’t notice it was blue until I turn it to the right angle. Why I love it! If you look at the photos below, it is hard to believe it is the same watch.
