Rhodium Vs Azzuro DJ41 opinions needed.

Opening it up for discussion.

I know the popular opinion is always fluted bezel with Jubilee but I’ve been leaning towards a smooth bezel Just to be different.

Rhodium Dial (grey) has Never been on my radar until this afternoon. It looks awesome.

Azurro Blue w/ Romans is what I thought I was set on.

I’m looking for opinions- on these two options. What would you do, Why?

Rhodium. And I'd stick with smooth Jubilee. Azzuro is a bit too flashy for me. If it was blue stick dial smooth and Jubilee vs rhodium, I'd say blue. In fact that's the exact choice I was in a year ago. Between those two, rhodium.

What other watches do you have? If you have a go to dress watch, I might change my mind to azzuro to mix it up. But if just one watch, that rhodium dial on smooth/jubilee is a wear anywhere watch.

I really appreciate that.

I have a submariner and a white dial two tone Sky Dweller.

Here is the rhodium next to Submariner I took today (just for fun)

Man tough decision! Also - knowing you have a two tone white sky-dweller, even more reason not to go fluted. You now have 3 different bezels, great collection. Ok for background I had a black datejust 41 and have my 114060. I loved them both, but having 2 black dial watches got boring for me and really loved the blue sticks, traded it in, and could not be happier with sub and blue datejust. As much as I loved the black datejust, it didn’t feel different enough when I put the other on. The rhodium is lighter than black and really looks different depending on the light. But like in this picture, it sometimes looks black. Plus you have a classic white dial sky-dweller, can wear dressed up as well. That all being said, go with what your were originally set on. The azzuro. You now have blue black and white dial. 3 different bezels. Jubilee and oyster. And PM in your collection. Great 3 watches. You won’t be wrong to go with the rhodium, but if I was you go with the azzuro. More rare as well, plus you get a Roman dial in your collection as well.

I prefer a smooth bezel with a jubilee bracelet. I had the rhodium dial and while it was a beautiful watch, i found it a little boring. My pick would be the azzuro.

just to get a third color in your collection... of the two DJ41, I would say the azzuro blue will be a great addition.

I just noticed it had the datejust 36 “rail” (don’t know what it is called) around the dial! Man this is a sharp watch. I really like my blue dial datejust 41, but if you want a blue that really pops and classic at the same time, can’t go wrong with the azzuro! The smooth bezel makes a lot of sense with this color as well.

I’d go with the blue. It offers more contrast against the case/bracelet.

Blue fluted. The gray will be harder to see the dial clearly.

Rhodium Vs Azzuro DJ41 opinions needed.

I have the blue azzuro-flutted-jubilee and I can say it is outstanding. And for a while, I’ve been looking at DJ rhodium-smooth-oyster (pic from the web). I think I could add this watch to my small collection...

Personal preference, but the Dark rhodium with fluted bezel is a stunner.

I thought the rhodium looked dull when I tried it on. Blue is the way to go. It looks best with fluted bezel and jubilee.

I'm torn on this. Definitely like the blue, but if it were these two watches in comparison (no bezel change, or index change) then I'd go with the rhodium dial. Very classy.

Tough call. I do like the blue and romans but not sure if its to bright. Rhodium is a safer bet and a real nice shade as well. I'm more of a Smooth/Oyster fan myself but its been said many times... You can't go wrong either way. Happy Choosing....

I bought azzaro blue datejust II because at the time it was a new dial color. The dial in that color is unique and it really gets attention. The rhodium dial is very nice but I think if I had two watches and had azzaro blue and rhodium, people will notice the azzaro blue more than the rhodium. So it's up to you, something unique or something that I would say is very nice but more subdued. Also you have the question of stick dial v Roman dial. Either watch is a winner. More lume with the stick dial if that matters to you.

If you’re going smooth bezel and jubilee, the Rhodium looks much better.
It’s a real classic and the color is more versatile than a blue dial.
