Safety Deposit Box - Watch Storage?

Anybody use a safety deposit box at a bank to store watches they are not wearing? I know it is pretty old school, and I never really considered it, but as I am looking into a safe for the house I was curious if anybody still uses them.

I've seen plenty who do that through my time here; it's a bit inconvenient imho but it's effective.

I can’t fathom that. I would simply never go swap them out; seems like a major hassle. Insure em and keep em close.

I'm sure these are rare occurrences, but I've read some horror stories about bank safe boxes such as this:

I used to but I think there are better options like a secure home safe.

I used to...But in truth, if they are insured for full replacement value, keeping them at home is probably fine...

just went through this. During COVID many branches with Safe Deposit boxes are closed. Making an appointment and meeting someone at a closed branch is a major hassle.

Nothing better than switching up your watch at home.
