Incoming: 5227G - Black dial Calatrava

After buying my first Patek (5196P) a few weeks ago, I went back to the AD and picked up the other Calatrava that I have completely fallen in love with - the black dial 5227. To me, these two Calatravas complement each other and offer very different looks. Super happy to have these both in my collection, they very well might be the final two watches I buy. Though if I am fortunate, I would love to add a grand complications or my grail - the minute repeater - to my collection down the line. Thank you all for your advice and tips! Apologies that the photos do not do these justice!

Have you any close up shots of the dial and lugs?

Congratulations, that’s the best variation of the 5227 in my opinion.
I’ve looked at this one several times and it’s just perfect.
What a great collection and glad you were able to add it to the 5196P.

Congratulations! These 2 watches are superb!

(I am curious) what have you received with your watch(es)?

Thank you, everyone! I have received bottles of champagne with both watches, leather watch cases with each purchase, and a magazine with my second purchase. I was offered a scarf with my second purchase, which I declined, and I believe they are going to offer me a tie when they get some more in. Also, they have agreed to work to get me an Aquanaut, which they project I’ll get sometime by early 2023. I’ll purchase the Aquanaut when offered, but I did not purchase these Calatravas to get the Aquanaut - these two Calatravas were simply the two Patek watches that most spoke to me.

What might I expect next time in terms of perks, gifts? Anyone else get something nice?

I received the classic: magnifier, piece of cloth, travel box, catalog (I always ask for the current one as a souvenir), books, invites, etc.

But actually, my children received more fun stuff than me. PP bags, hats, invite to kid events, etc.

Some ADs can be very nice with kids, which I very much appreciate.

The black calatrava is great. So nice with the covered back mirror.
