Need some help
Hello,
First real post here, hope to get some advice on my next watch... I purchased a Offshore Diver about 6 months ago and I really love the watch. I wear it on a Safari Hornback strap and have ordered a Bracelet for it, however I have gotten a little bored and feel like buying another. I have been looking at the 15400 and really like it as well, but feel like I should try another brand of watch. At this time, the Diver is my only watch. The watches that I have been looking at are as follow: Rolex Two Tone GMT Master II (YG/SS) Rolex Two Tone Submariner (YG/SS) JLC Vintage Deep Sea Chronograph Panerai 441 And of course the RO 15400 I have been back and forth on this decision and can't seem to decide as I find I like different aspects of each. However, nothing seems perfect to me. All these watch are roughly in the same price range after discounts; give or take 1K USD, with the JLC being the cheapest. Also, I doubt I could justify the Panerai as I think it costs too much for what it is. I just like how it looks. Any advice or opinion are welcomed as well as suggestions for other watches. Thanks! |

i like the GMT but i do not think you will feel special wearing it.
I would go for a SS daytona for that kind of money.. but I think 15400 is the winner among your options. the quality stands out just by the finishing on the bracelet..o but you have already got a bracelet for your Diver..hmmm O, have you look into the PP category? 5167 and 5711 are both great |

Thanks for the replies
SS Daytona is a nice watch, tried one on last weekend, but unfortunately it just feels too small on me. Originally I was looking at a SS GMT, which you are right, it just didn't feel special to me; thats why i started looking at the TT. The 15400 is always nice, but I find it to be quite similar to my Diver. Patek is always nice, unfortunately its price is double what I would want to spend at this time. And the day when I do go PP, it will most likely be a 5712. Any other options? |

DW - get the Rolex bug out of your system and get one.
You'll most likely find it to be a very nice watch, well put together and that it just works. Then you can focus on a 15400 as it is an exceptional piece. If you are 'bored' with the design of the AP or want to take a temporary break, go for a TT Rolex. Ultimately, which would you rather be in, a Lexus or a Bentley? |

A blue or white/silver dialed 15400 is what I'd get.

If you want a Rolex that makes you feel special, try an all YG GMT.
Otherwise get the '400 or a '300 if you can find one. |

As much as I would like to get a all YG GMT, I don't feel I can pull it off at my age!
I honestly think the TT GMT is already pushing it...some friends say it looks good, others say it looks like I'm wearing a old mans watch. Alex_NYC, I think your right, I should just get the Rolex just to get it out of my system, but its still a tough decision. With the cost difference being less than 1K USD (I'm getting a pretty nice discount here), its hard not to go with the 15400. And now i'm back where I started.. Open to any suggestions. Thanks guys!! |

IMO I'd do a YG GMT2 or the 15400 in white!

The cost on a all YG GMT runs pretty close to PP territory.
At that price i'd much rather get a 5712. |

Enjoy it...I had thought about the 15300/400 for a year or 2 on/off and eventually had to get it.
I think you may end up doing the same |

Since you have YG gmt2c in list. I would vote for it. Not a fan of TT at all. YG gmt2c/15400/15300

Check out the AP 26320 ROC. Awesome watch that wears much bigger than Daytona. A bit more $$ but I think worth it. Best of luck
