5270P discontinued?
Last Monday my AD placed an order for a 5270P for me. We had agreed on a deal and It was loosely mentioned that I could expect delivery sometime in 2022. Two days later the AD informs me that according to Patek, the 5270P will be discontinued and they can’t deliver the watch after all. Has anyone else heard this?

5270p was generally available in at least 1 or two colors from many ADs i visited this year. Don't know about the holiday stock but i think you can grab one if you hunt a bit.

5270P salmon dial?
It will be discontinue but no clue when. Patek can keep secrets and does not release info in advance to their ADs :)

5270P-001 might be discontinued but maybe we will see 5270P-XXX meaning new dial and not salmon anymore. Or maybe 5270P/J will be both discontinued in 2022 and we will have a new PCC reference. Run out list will be « soon » available, usually it’s around February so not that far from now.

The current 5270P was supposedly discontinued at the end of 2019 with the January 2020 run-out list.
It never actually made it onto that list, and thus never really was discontinued. Same goes for 2021. Will it truly end in January 2022? Tough to say. One more month to find out. No AD knows yet, I don't believe. The run-out lists don't usually hit ADs until January. |

Looks like 5270P-001 is gone for good. Multiple sources are saying so. I cross my fingers for a 5270P-010 or something with another dial color. Black would be nice as well.

5270p-5990a-5711r...
i was told by someone reliable in Dubai, very close to one of the largest ADs in the region that the above 3 watches will be discontinued.... again for now, it it is rumors... will know end of Jan.
but my info adds to what you guys are saying about the 5270P. if it ends to be correct, it is a good step for this watch in terms of value. |

Love my 5270P, zero regrets and my favorite in my collection. If it is discontinued, I suspect it follows a similar run to over MSRP as we saw with the 5170P when it was discontinued, they should NOT be trading 30-40K under MSRP for the first inhouse PCC platinum salmon dial, that makes zero sense to me when a 5711 is 5x MSRP.

Lovely picture - I agree this is a beauty and prices will start creeping up.
My guess is that we get a new Chrono/PCC ref - hopefully they can get the chrono’s centered on the new model. Albeit this would require a modification to the movement. |

Would say 99.9% confidence that 5270P is discontinued in 2022.

I'm surprised you couldn't get one...my AD offered me one like 5 times....no joke. They seemed to be one of the "easier" references to source

Never really enjoyed the salmon dial either when I had tried it on? Some of my friends own and really enjoy theirs- that’s what makes our fun crazy hobby :-)

the 5270P is very very likely to runout in 2022, i believe it cameout in Basel 2018 and has been in production for more than 3 years which is unusual for Platinum (normally very short production).

Anyone have any new info on this? I saw a bunch of people claiming it was discontinued over the past week on social media, but my AD claims it isn't...

Would like the current status as well. If chrono24 is an indication it seems so prices are going up

Please stop with this Chrono24 indication. It's never an indication.
The only thing Chrono24 is an indication of is what speculators are speculating on right now. The speculation is that the 5270P is discontinued. That's been speculation for the past three years. The same thing happened with the Platona last year, and look where that ended up. Chrono24 only shows you what the greys are speculating on. They know even less facts than the ADs do. |

What a fantastic looking thing. Probably THE choice piece from entire their current catalogue. (if you can get one). A little too big for my puny wrists but it really is superb. |

Seems like it was just a year or two ago when these were readily available on the pre-owned market for 160K or so. Now they have shot up to almost retail. This shows one must be a savvy buyer and buy models when they are soft. They will not always be. Bravo to this reference.
