The wife gave me the ok on the SS GMT Pepsi...but

I spoke to my wife today and I told her the new SS GMT Pepsi would be my last watch for at least 10 years (lol), and she was ok with it, however...what’s your guess on the wait time? I called my authorized dealer yesterday and they were only taking interest calls and would call me back once they had more information.

It'll probably take you ten years to get it so she'll be happy.

Last year first deliveries of new pieces hit ADs early May. Depends on your Ad's list and your relationship with them.
Could be a 1-2 month wait. Could be 2+ years depending...

I think you meant to say” In TEN YEARS, it’ll be your last watch.
Considering lack of availability for most professional models, it may take you that long to get it.

Don’t even know why ROLEX has a website, when we don’t have the ability to simply walk into an AD and order what you want.

If I were to hazard a guess, I might say a 4-month wait and then you might be able to pick it up from a Gray dealer for an elevated cost, perhaps 5-8k over retail. To buy at an AD, it may well take a couple years on a wait list and you would pay whatever retail would be by then. JMHO.

This is like your wife giving you clearance to have a one nighter with Scarlett Johansson. Now all you have to do is find her and try to make it happen.

Ha! Great comments, however, I’m really wondering how long this wait is going to be. Hopefully Rolex wants to make more $ and meets customer demand.

My AD usually has space on the list and reasonable wait times, but their list for the Pepsi is already closed.

I think the Pepsi has even higher demand than some thought.

I thought an AD couldn’t charge anything over MSRP?

The SD43 that was released last year still has waiting lists at most every AD and this Pepsi model will likely be in more demand so that that for what it’s worth.

I emailed my AD on the day it was announced and I was told late summer early fall is when they expect to see one shipped. Then again this AD also had a SD43 on display FCFS in early March.

Sad to think that buying an SS GMTC from an AD at retail with no waiting time would be harder.

After watching how out of hand this forum got with regards to stuff like the inventory conspiracy, and which watch was or wasn't getting discontinued and how all that turned out to be a nothing-burger, I would guess the Pepsi model will start to come out by December of this year. I don't think it's as bad as everyone makes it out to be.

I think one's best bet to get this watch is to buy it at an AD somewhere in the Caribbean on an island known for expensive holidays. I got one such island in mind that I visit every year. There's a whole plaza in a gated mall with no less than 8 watch/jewellery boutiques. These guys get stuff I haven't seen anywhere but there. Especially when it comes to Patek models!!!! Nautilus' you wouldn't imagine.

When I was there last December I ask him if he had any of the hot Rolex models. He could get me both the JC DSSD as well as the blue dialled SS Skydweller the week I was there. All at MSRP, and NO TAX. Problem was, I wasn't prepared to buy and was intimidated with the whole customs thing bringing it back home. Well, this year I'm going prepared. I will buy.

Find a watch that's more like Ewan McGregor, you've got a pretty good chance then.
