Does this bother anyone else?

Printing options on the watch itself? I am speaking of the deep sea. Why would they do this?? It drives me nuts. Imagin for a moment a DD that has writing on it that says "Original Day Wheel"

Doesn't bother me but you guys are finding new reasons to complain today. I gave myself a day off just to enjoy the post Basel forum so I'm not criticizing. Just an observation.

I agree. Doesn't bother me. I still love my DSSD.

Doesn't bother me at all.

Honestly it did at the beginning (before I got into rolex).

Now, I think it contributes to the character of the watch.

oddly enough it used to bother me but now i love it. I think it is something different and works on a large tool watch. Wouldn't work in the "original day wheel" scenario you mentioned but for something tool and sporty i am all for it. Plus if you are the originator of the technological advancement such as a the gas escape valve then finding a nice way to brag about that on your watch is a subtle "middle finger" to the other brands making divers hahahhahahahaah

Welcome to Basel 2008, lol.

No, it does not bother me at all, on the wrist it is invisible unless you stare directly at it.

I dont care for writing of any kind on anything. When I get a new car the dealer sticker gets taken off immediately as well as any others I can find. I like the clean uncluttered look. That is also one reason I never considered the DSSD. Glad were all different.

If I don't like a watch, I just don't like the watch.

The Rolex line is large and options are plentiful.

There are also myriad watch brands for those whom Rolex disappoints.

There are bigger fish to fry in life.

The thing about the Deep Sea is that the text on the ring lock is hardly visible on the wrist and certainly not visible from a few feet away.

I guess getting a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified Cosmograph is pretty well out of the question.

I just remembered my Milguass has printing on the back as well, I had to take it away off and take a look!
I guess after a time you just forget about these things.

Honestly, it has never bothered me. Now, "Yacht-Master II" engraving on the bezel insert, I could never live with!
