I purchased a new LLD date model, last year, about 8 months ago. The watch is an absolute stunner. Unless you have very small wrists this watch will one of the most comfortable to wear, very light, and it sits low on your wrist.

Mine is running super accurate, gains only about +1 second a day, when placed crown down at rest over night.

Sharp looking watch, 300mm WR very classy doomed sapphire crystal, and dual crowns. Watch can go from coral reef to a broad room meeting to a black tie Tux event without batting an eye.

It is vastly more comfortable to wear and more dress appropriate then my 16610 Sub for dress up affairs.

Only cavaeat is the following, the lume is only good on the hour and minute hands, but will last all night. The biggest drawback is the sail cloth strap it comes on, it won’t hold that well up to repeated swimming or diving.

The interior of mine started to literally crumble apart after about 20 times in the pool. I have found that if it’s going to be swimming season the Staib mesh or the Hirsch Carbon Water Proof works a hell of a lot better, and looks nicer too.

Mine is a definite keeper and I will never flip it!

LLD on stock strap,

LLD on Staib Mesh!

LLD on Hirsch Carbon Fiber waterproof.

I bought one when they first came out. I agree with Charles on his review but I wasn't able to bond with the fake patina on the dial. I liked it at first but grew tired of it after a while. Other than that, it's a great watch.

The Staib mesh looks awesome! Is it polished or matte?

I haven't had that model but have owned four Longines watches in the past and had not one problem. Highly accurate. Recommended.

I have owned both a non-date and a date. It is a very versatile watch. Reminds me of a Speedmaster pro in the way that you can put it on a nice strap and wear it with a suit or put it on a NATO and wear it with jeans. It has a slightly military/tool look to it which is what attracted me to it in the first place. The movement is rock solid, both of mine kept acceptable time, about +5 per day if I remember correctly. The lume is not outstanding but what you would expect for a watch in this price point. The only possible negative was the lug length, the lugs are very long and makes it wear more like a 44mm watch rather than 42mm. It wasn't a problem for me but anyone with a small wrist could have an issue. Great watch!

The LLD is a great watch with a distinct personality and lots of heritage to back it up. For me, it had to be the no date, which is almost identical to the original.
