Icon13 Come on , do some of these posters think we are stupid? For sale sd43 126600

Come on, Does this poster think we are stupid. Didn’t mention poster name but I am sure others saw listing too. Never sized watch? Bought $11350 plus tax Watch and did not know it was “too big “ before purchase ! Didn’t remove stickers but planned to wear it.

Watch cost $11350 and list it for $13350..lol. Just be honest, I purchased watch two days ago to resale. I hope Rolex is one to purchase watch and go back to the AD and blackball that purchaser. That happen recently with Annapolis Md AD.

This is what why no one can hardly find a ss professional. I was lucky to buy sd43 at msrp Saturday but after looking at 15 ad’s before I found one.

FS:BNIB 43mm Sea-Dweller 126600 Complete
Up for sale is my Rolex Sea-Dweller 43mm 126600. The watch was purchased last week and I am the original owner, I have not taken off the stickers on the clasp as I planned to wear it but its just too big. I removed the case stickers and have not worn or sized the watch. It is truly 100% brand new and ready for a new owner.

Looks like it might be an international purchase too - because I didn't think US AD's provided the leather holder for the warranty card. Usually see the leather holder on non-US watches.

If he were a “trusted seller” would anyone be complaining?

My October 2017 Sky-Dweller from a US AD included the leather holder. My 2013 Sub Purchase had the cardboard sleeve.

Not sure when they switched of if some US ADs still use the other option.

The guy is free to do with his watch as he pleases. Is this the first "flip" purchase you have noticed in the classifieds? how about all the BNIB Hulks from low post count new members? Vote with your wallet and don't buy it. Capitalism has been alive and well since the dawn of time.

I hope you know for a fact that his story is a lie. You will look pretty stupid if he was telling the truth.

Story does not add up. Read the ad. I would say more misleading than lie.

Only one way to find out if his story is true OP, you can ask the seller!

As mentioned above, he can ask whatever price he wants. If someone wants it bad enough they may pay close to his asking. If you think this is bad, you should be how much a PP 5711 is going for nowadays!

Do you seriously believe one would go by a watch and nit realize it is too big or does not size watch or take stickers off if you intend to wear it. Just sounds shady.

Plus I looked at threads started by op. Over 10 different watches listed for sell in last couple of months. Lol. Story is just lane. Just be honest and listed it for sell. What next, some made up story about ill grandmother and I need to sell Watch day after I bought it.

I wish we could reply to sell listings. I am all for capitalism but at least be upfront like others on forum reselling. I have a watch for sale and here is price. I don’t need some lame story. This is why no one can find ss models.

Plenty of people are finding SS models. Just look at the incomings on the forum. You really seem to have an axe to grind with this guy OP. As long as the watch he has for sale is genuine, who cares about the story. Doesn't bother me in the least bit.

I was in Rolex 5th Ave NY yesterday.
The sales girl mentioned they were adding a number (code?) so they could tell which customers are "flipping" watches.
Any One heard of proof to this?

Looking at his post history he has listed many watches for sale.
I see no problem. He flips for profit, big deal.

Agreed.

Too many people are being criticized for what’s nothing more than a simple arbitrage opportunity. They don’t have to like it but judging someone for doing something legal to make a buck is wrong in my opinion. I’m not saying everyone has to like it, or even necessarily agree with it. But to judge I think is wrong.

I looked at his post history as I mentioned in prior post. He is a flipper but just be honest and not try to troll us. I have never seen any trusted seller. David, ocrolex, takuya etc ever make up lame stories how they acquired watch and why they are selling. They sell to make a profit and it is their business. We are in America and it’s capitalism to make a profit but someone is wrong IMO if you don’t think that type of listing is shady.

Why is it a false story?

I’ve sometimes bought and flipped for a profit because I just didn’t like the watch.

IMHO, you could have PM’d this seller instead of publicly flaming him for a high price and his story.

If it's the ad I think you are referring too, this a long-term member and seller with tons of good feedback, with no other 'stories' I can see on other listings. This is your second thread criticising a seller's integrity, and you are on very thin ice.

I don't know the seller, but personally don't see anything wrong with the story. The SD43 is a pretty 'big' watch that doesn't suit everyone. Seller could've bought it with every intention to wear it, but reconsidered after some thinking. S/he wouldn't be the first person to change their opinion on a watch.

If I had the fund and the opportunity to purchase that piece while still "thinking" about it, I'd definitely pull the trigger knowing I could always resell. A win-win situation.

Sorry , I apologize if you feel someone was flamed even though no member was mentioned. Just frustrating when you see questionable stories in sell ads. I would expect this on eBay but Not on trf.I am mot a member here since 2013 to sell watches but rather talk with other Rolex owners that have a passion for watches.

This doesn't belong in 'watch out' category whatsoever. Seller did nothing wrong.

I don't see an issue here. If I know I can buy something from place X and sell it at place Y for a profit, I'm going to. If people weren't happy paying Y for it, they wouldn't.

Putting someone on blast for making a few bucks isn't the end of the world. People are usually free to do whatever they want after making something their own after paying for it.

Does it suck for the person who wants it? Sure. But like anything else, you gotta pay to play. Feeling the pain only makes owning it more worthwhile.
