New OP39 (hidden Basel novelty?)

There is two new version of OP39. At least I've never seen them before.

Yup, we've been discussing this. and it's not just 39, 34 and 36 too, black & white dials. Great pieces IMO!

Yes, I noticed the white stick dial immediately. I really like it. If I didn't have an EXPII polar dial coming to me right now I'd be on board with the white OP39.

If a Blue dial was available with all lumed stick markers I'd be in like Flynn. I really don't like the current blue 39mm dial with the green accents.

Yep, can't wait to see these in ADs. Hoping they show up "early" - like in May!

Boring. Unimaginative. The Blue, Rhodium , Grape and Green OPs were risky and beautiful. Stunning even. Sunburst perfection.

The White and Black .. Really? Is that the best you can do Rolex? Unimaginative. Like their designers, rolling their eyes just said “Come on you lot , let’s just get this over with.

I agree it's not groundbreaking, however these are solid pieces at great prices........a basic black and white dial should have been there all along. That's why I'm excited. A LOT of people only buy 1 nice watch. Now they're not forced to take an Explorer 1, Explorer 2 or Submariner when trying to keep the price below $9000. This is a welcome addition IMO.

Agreed.... Am I the only one who wanted to see an olive dial? Why does the 34mm get it!

Does anyone know if the white dial 39mm OP is the same shade of white as the Explorer II or is it more of an off white/creme/ivory color? From the pictures, it doesn't seem as stark white as the Explorer II model.

Thanks
James

Totally agree. If that olive dial came in 39mm I’d buy it today and it would be my darn near daily wearer.

I don’t think it will ever be enlarged to 39mm as that same olive green is used on the Day Date 41.

Based on the price, it may be a big seller. Minimal drama, maximum step up from lesser brands. I'll take mine in white dial.

The only reason I've never considered an OP is the lume.

I'm not overly fussed with the black and white versions but if at some point we get an updated Dark Rhodium, Blue or Grape dial it would certainly get me thinking.
