5110p condition?
Hi ladies and gents,
Would like to ask your opinion regarding this specific 5110P's condition. Seller said it has already been "slightly" polished in the past but would like to ask you if this still looks OK or to avoid? Lugs and case looks OK or look to soft? This will be my first neo-vintage patek if ever so I have absolutely no idea what to look for regarding case finishing |

Does the box and papers look right for an early 2000s watch? 🍻

Looks like a nice wearable condition, if the price is right then go for it!

Looks ok to me. You have the benefit of a watch that started out life with no angles or sharp edges. The hallmarks look to be fully intact and deep. I can't weigh in on the box and papers.
I'd still try to negotiate a short return period to inspect the piece in person. The pictures look thorough, but some sellers pick and choose the best pictures that are not always entirely representative of a watch. Good luck. The 5110P is a super nice watch and I'd say a collectible piece. |

I question why there is both an extract and a certificate. I suppose somebody could’ve lost the certificate, got an extract, and then found the certificate but That doesn’t seem right to me.

The extract adds the production date and date of sale. Often enough the certificates are blank and don't include the date of sale and current certificates don't include the production date either. The certificate for a 5110 should still include the production date in code though. Not sure but Patek might well run the numbers against stolen watches when issuing an extract. So possibly additional comfort on that front as well. |

Interesting. Meaning, the original owner may have simply ordered an extract even though he didn’t lose the original certificate? I’ve never done that for my watches, but I suppose it’s possible. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Just to add, the box looks ok to me for an early 2000s watch. I think the current darker and glossy boxes were introduced between 2005 and 2010 but I may be off by a year or two. |

I won’t be buying unseen. My friend said the same thing about the watch not having angles and sharp edges so should being polished should be a non-issue Quote:

This specific watch is dated 2005. Priced around 46000USD I also found one 5110P locally for 54000USD about 8000USD more expensive but single owner, unpolished example, safe queen and also full set. Dated 2002 and serviced by Patek 2010. Does the watch being unpolished and single owned justify the 8500USD premium? Thanks you all for the input |
