Vintage Omega 132.019 Parts ?!?!?
Hi guys,
I need some help sourcing vintage omega parts for a 132.019 watch. I need a crystal and some advice on rusty parts. The rusty parts are not very rusty but it is rusty enough to completely stop the watch. the water was let into the watch from the crown and tube, the location gear and clutch are rusty but the rest of the watch movement is absolutely fine. Also does anyone know how to locate the mainspring back into the movement. I can provide pics if you need them. Thanks, Aude |

The good news is that any movement in the 600 - 613 calibres should make good donors for parts. Plenty of Seamasters and Geneves had them. Rust can be neutralised but it's always a good idea to replace the stainless parts that have rusted particularly the setting mechanism.
As far as availability, watches with these movements sell cheaply and so it may be useful (particularly if you want to keep your watch for a long time) to buy up a good sacrifical watch with the same calibre from an on-line auction. Crystals for the 132.019 don't appear available at Otto Frei, but an inquiry by your friendly watchmaker could throw up some parts supplier with stocks of them, otherwise there is always the generic crystal route, where, again, your watchmaker could most certainly source a crystal for your watch. Cheers Desmond Quote:
