What do you think about modern Constellation?

Sorry to say that but I think compare to the Vintage one, Modern Constellation line is ugly and look horrible..., I can't image a men wearing it (sorry it just my opinion)
What did Omega do with its flagship line?

I'm with you. I can't stand them. I'd rather have a Piaget Polo and that's saying something.

The modern version is awful.

I would love to see a remake of the pie pan dial with a co axial movement

I certainly think Omega missed a trick or two with their current Constellation line. They could've have set it up and billed it as their flagship dress watches, to compete with the likes of the JLC Master Control and GO Senator Automatic, but instead its kind of a forgotten step-child amidst all the Speedmasters and Seamasters. I guess they've just gravitated towards where the money is coming from, but I for one would certainly like to see Omega revive the constellations of the past with a perfect homage to the 50s and 60s.

Might be a big seller in mid east and Asia. Seems to be the demographic I see wearing them for the most part.

+1.

Yet I hear its amongst their biggest sellers in China, which is a huge portion of their market. So that explains its continued existence in the Omega lineup.

They're super popular in Asia and their design is no mistake. They're not to my taste in the least, but they aren't designed to be.

The current manhattan style Constellation is here to stay, it's as iconic as a sub or datejust in Asian markets. De ville covers the classic constellation look in the current range

Pie Pan vintage is my favourite constellation, the modern ones are ugly.

I have tried a modern constellation once at an Omega AD and must admit I quite liked it, it may look a tad more "feminine" to some but on my small wrists I must say I found the looks pretty nice.

...Of course, that would be if I wanted to go with a modern Omega as I'd much prefer a vintage Pie-Pan or something else, I just love vintage watches too much.

Agree the current constellation design is terrible - I have no idea why Omega doesn't take this watch and turn it into the classic it has always been. The "sedna" rose gold model is interesting, but still has flaws AND it's too small at 38mm. Agree this watch is far more suited to women than men - maybe that's their target buyer..
All they really need to do is take the 50's pie-pan version of the Constellation, increase the size to 40-42mm, install the Cal 8500, and they'd have a winner. It's almost too easy.
