Patek 5711 bracelet.....looks like Rolex Oyster
Just looking at the 5711 bracelet......is that a take off of the Rolex Oyster bracelet design???
Mighty close......who arrived first? Or was it a joint collaboration? Rolex and Patek have been known to jointly develop horological technology i.e. hair spring materials.

gotta be honest with you, i don't really see that much of a similarity. but, it would be interesting to know if there was some co-development.

In all honesty Steve I don't think they really look alike...however, put a Nautilus besides an Oysterquartz Day-Date and then you'll make me wonder!

Rolex spawned the most popular bracelet ever made - copied and emulated by almost everyone from invicta to the bigger and more haute watch houses.
However, I dont see a big similarity between the nauty and an oyster. Its a gorgeous watch though |

Sorry Cheif! Gerald Genta's design on the Nautilus bracelet is nothing like the iconic oyster bracelet on the Sub. In terms of pure longevity, I believe the Rolex oyster bracelet has been in production longer!

The Rolex OQ and the AP RO does share some similarities though.
