There's some funny folk on here.

I read some posts on here and wonder why we are so fussy. One post that gets me is the fact Omega does not use a blue date ring with the blue dial of the PO Titanium instead of its black colour.
Have you guys seen Rolex Subs -GMT -Explorers etc. The black, blue and green dials come with WHITE date wheel and yet I've never read one Rolex post complaining about this on their beloved watches. Guys please don't forget the fact the PO is a Fantastic watch and with a black dial we get a black date wheel and looks much better than a white would do, even on the Titanium/ Blue dial.

The white date wheel on the Rolex Sub, GMT, ExpII is balanced to the white lume plot at the nine position. I don't think this is some oversight on Rolex's part, especially after several decades.

On the Omega PO, the actual numbers on the date wheel are silver which nicely compliments the silver 6, 9, and 12 (except when they are orange). I have the blue titanium PO, and although I do think the black date wheel is a lazy oversight, it is not very noticeable in real life so I am not bothered by it.

I'm one of those funny people, I guess.

The black date wheel drives me nuts on the blue dial models. If Omega is going to redesign a watch, why not take the extra step to have a date wheel that compliments the dial? A white date wheel would be fine IMHO, but the black date wheel just looks out of place.

But to address the OP's original statement, I think we're supposed to be fussy on here. Why else would we belong to a watch forum if not to discuss our opinions about our favorite brands? My perspective on this topic could be a minority here, but I'm open to any topic since one can typically find something of value in any discussion. If the topic doesn't interest me, I just move on.

I'm also one of those that doesn't like the black date wheel.

As mentioned above, I think Rolex keeping their date wheel white works, whether out of tradition or to match the lume plots

When Omega redesigned the Seamaster, they could have easily kept the date wheel white, and no one would complain. After all, the date wheel is white on the 2531.80 and 2220.80, so why not on the ceramic Seamaster?

I used to own the blue ceramic Seamaster, and to be honest, the black date wheel is not that noticeable in person. However, it's just frustrating and baffling that Omega would miss such a detail. If you're going to keep it white, then fine, not a problem. But if you're going to change the color, then it should match
