Speaking of auctions, what do you think this will go for?
Speaking of auctions and with the 60th anniversary of Speedy, do you think this one will break the record?

would not be surprised. If memory serves me correctly the 2915 at Christies two year ago went for $130k something and I just read on a speedy site that there was a $150k sale (no details)...
wonder if this will make the 60th anniversary re-issue even more desirable/ valuable. |

Well, If I did my conversion correctly, the Speedmaster CK2915-1 went for about $275,000 including fees, $225,000 without. A new record. I guess I was off by $100K.

No surprise here. Try to find a 2915-1 in ANY condition...then look for one in this condition. There is no way to know the value as there aren't enough sales to get a bearing. A nice one could bring half a million in a few years....or next week. I see people say "That's just way too much." The market will determine how much is correct for a watch that is nearly impossible to find for sale.

Forgive me, but when I saw the link to Bukowski’s all I could think of is the biker/tattoo bar on Dalton St in Boston, over the Mass Pike and a block from where Pat Metheney trained. Great drafts and burgers.
Ok, back to nice watches...
