Just another AC poll...

Which of these Patek Philippe ACs do you like the most? I have narrowed down the options of case materials and dial colors to these exact three shown on my wrist below (the 5146 is mounted with a black leather strap, despite the fact that this version normally comes with a brown one). Although I am not ready to take the 5146 out of the race yet, I am leaning more towards the other two. The new 5396G looks awesome, fresh yet classic, has the hall mark deployment clasp etc. However, the 5205G is also stunning and seems a bit easier to dress down, thus probably winning in terms of versatility. What’s your pick?

I love the 5205 case and it fit my 6.5 best. I’ve considered this one on many occasions
But the hands over the 24hr dial hold me back - the case is stunning and I agree it’s probably the most versatile for casual/business casual. I like the two tone dial in wg

I really don’t care about the 24hr indicator such a waist. I’ll say 5146P or 5146G white dial ....don’t like any of the choices ...maybe 5396 of the ones you selected

5205, I've stated my desire for this one before. Modern, young. My issue is the resale, it's awful. Seems nobody else likes this reference.

I voted 5205G as I think it is the most versatile of the bunch. I like the two tone dial, but would prefer the black dial.

All 3 seem to get killed on resale, so I'd put that aside and go with what you prefer to wear.

All great choices...

I have enjoyed all three in the past... 5146G and 5205G would be my choice... the 5396G would be a bit hard to read the time if that's import to you... but otherwise its a beauty!

IMO 5205 is a neither here, neither there AC. When I did own one before on a slate grey dial, I find it hard to wear it for casual event - shiny leather, or to formal event - too thick because of the concave bezel. Eventually I sold it off and incur some losses.

I would recommend a 5396 which has the Patek DNA on the dial.

Hope this helps!

5396G out of the 3. From the current line my favourite ACs are 5235G and 5905P

I'd agree with Jorge a useless function.

Interesting to hear different perspectives, because power reserve indicator is a feature I find unnecessary on an automatic watch- especially so for an AC/PC who's designed purpose at least is to be worn without interruption.

24 hr indicator I find very helpful when setting an AC/PC, as setting the functions at the wrong time can cause problems for the movement. Not essential, but at least keeping with the design.
