I think it looks great and dresses it up a little! If you can get a pic in natural light that would be great to share. Is it still on the buckle here?

Gentleman those 5524’s are amazing. I’ve never owned a Patek but am drawn to the 5524. Dare I ask how hard it is to get one in the US?

If you don't mind me asking where did you source the strap from? Did you happen to know the straps dimension? Lug width etc?

I’ll post a pic in natural light tomorrow! Yes. It’s the original buckle.

I got it from the Geneva PP salon. It’s the same lug size as the 5524. They also have it in blue, but the very nice sales gentleman suggested black would look nicer. He was amazing, and was actually a former watch maker for PP.

Huge congrats Tom. I thought I’d read that you’d given up hope on this one, so very happy for you.

No bracelet or other jewels! Sorry wife!

My AD made good on their word and only asked I pay by wire which given the circumstances I was more than happy to oblige.

Thanks Russ. As I had told sam in some PMs I was starting to lose faith. Everytime I contacted my salesperson they just said no news yet. I think they did not want to promise anything until it was in their shop.

In fact I went ahead and bought an AP jumbo for my birthday next month figuring the 5522 was unlikely to happen. Of course now I have one of those good problems.

I know it's blatantly simple but I like it. Have some straps on order from Camille Fournet for fun. And as most Pateks it's very under the radar which I like

Poor wife

I know you said from the start and it’s good to see/hear an AD being good to their word and as you know I’m chuffed for you buddy as know all along you had your fingers crossed.

Good karma mate
