Deployant Size
Is this deployant on the 45 PO and same as on the 42mm PO? Both tapering to 18mm? I always assumed the 45 was a larger closure. No?

Nope, "deployant", OP was correct, deployment is when you go to Iraq for something other than a holiday. Deployant is a type of watch clasp.
And no, the PO 45 uses a 20mm deployant clasp (straps are 22mm at the lugs 20mm at the clasp) Standard size like SMP and PO 42 use 20mm straps 18mm at the clasp, and dress sizes like vintage constellations and Seamasters use 18mm straps 16mm at the clasp.

That's copied off Ofrei's website, which happens to be wrong (ofrei use deployment which is incorrect). You find it a lot on American websites.

Both Deployant and deployment are popular terms. I don't think anyone can say one is wrong vs correct. Many WIS like to use the prior term though, either for historical or snobbish reasons. Deployment seems to be the American translation, since we don't speak French and not all old world English gets carried over.
