Vintage Seamaster Chrono 176.007

Just spotted this in a local watch shop, it's a bit rough around the edges, lost its original crown and one of the pushers is wrong size. Other than that it is really clean on the inside and running well. Hopefully pick it up tomorrow.
What's not to like?

Hahaha, it's actually the one at the bottom is too small. Strange thing is it's not loose and doesn't look as obvious in person.

If I get it, it's been serviced, so no point sending it away. I think originally the case had a sunburst finish.

Great looking watch!...I wouldn't change anything if it's been serviced.

I've got a gold [plated] 176.007 and love it. I need to send it in for service soon, as the gold plating over the pushers has come off, and the chrono doesn't reset to 12. But it still keeps good time - not bad for probably 41 years with no service!

I love that needle hand!

I just picked one up last month and I love it! Yes, originally these had the sunburst finish. A few years down the line when it is time for service, you can get the finish restored and the correct crown and pushers fitted.

Here are some pics of mine:

That really is lovely. I used to have a PloProf that I sent to be restored, came back like new as well.
I have been wearing this for a few days now, get a lot of compliments on it. I love the colour of the dial, as it catches the sun, it changes colour. It has been buffed, the watch maker who serviced it said he can do the sunburst finish, new crown is 12 Pounds and the pusher is 36, so no big deal. I have put the watch up on the block, as I have got a big bill coming in March for servicing my Sub, but I think I may regret selling it.
