Which Planet Ocean Chrono looks better ?

The new one or the old version ?
Do they look very different ?
Besides quality of movement, which one do you prefer ?

New
Much cooler look, a little 70es vibe in the design

I prefer the older. The dials are much more legible.

2011 will be the year we remember as when Omega took a great design and reduced it to merely good.

This one is mine. I prefer the 3-dial version. But the new one looks nice, needs more color though.

The new POC-C! The bi-compax sub dials is cooler and retro.

The new one is a huge upgrade looks wise............the current/older model looked like every other Chrono out there including a Speedy. Price wise however, not crazy about the cost. Think I'm just going to buy a 45 MM PO, with the "Shark Cage" (mesh bracelet), cal. 2500 movement at a great price.........around $3,000!

I beg to differ.
In my book they took a good design and upgraded it to a great design, that doesn´t look like every other diver chronograph.

I also find the new subdials much more legible.

Have to say I prefer the older version; somehow the 3 dial format seems more balanced not to mention, a lot more legible to these ageing eyes.

And I had also hoped that Omega, having created a superb design, would hold onto it like the Rolex sub or gmt (or our very own Seamaster 300 or the Speedy) and foster a new brand.
Well, let's see if they change this dial again next year, eh?

I like the older one.

The new one is as thick as a toaster (or at least a slice of toast).

I have the new Chrono on order at the moment. I have been informed by my AD that the new chrono is thinner than the old one because it only has 2 sub dials, the extra sub dial, as on the old version means the watch need to be "taller" to fit the complication in the case. Personally I love both and will have both soon:- one orange/orange leather and the new black on S/S. Giving a totally differant look to each other I think.

Agreed. The 3 dial makes for best chrono set up by far.

New ones kind of dissapointing.

One thing I don't like about the new ones is that they seem to have made the width of the inner steel-colored ring on the bezel more narrow, which I don't like as those nice fat dual bezel rings really give the watch a lot of pop. I do like the slightly fatter hands, though, but in pictures at any rate I don't care for the narrower rings and matte finish on the bezel. I'll reserve judgement until after I see one, but based upon pics mine isn't going anywhere.

I'm also a three-dial type of chrono guy, so I'll throw my hat into the "I like the old one better" ring.

This one. Tried it on yesterday and it's awesome. It wears similar to my DSSD. The last pic is a comparison to my 45mm PO.

New one no doubt, but from what I understand it only comes in 45,5 mm, so it is a massive watch.

Wow, the thickness of it definitely puts it out of my range of wearability.

Yeah, what is that, 18 mm tall or something like that? A bit too high for me, I'd constantly be smashing it into stuff...

Saw it and tried it on in person at the Omega Boutique...........the new one is definitely thicker.........probably the only drawback besides the price

I prefer the new dial (though the old one is still class), I like the way the've engineered the three sub dials into two and the greater balance achieved by having the date at 6 o'clock...
