+1, quite expensive for little info. although knowing the exact date of manufacture is neat.

From memory and hopefully I'm wrong but I don't think this is available to the US. Check it out anyway.

I'm going to do it on my OT 2872 just because there's no mention of it in the Omega vintage database and it would be nice to see where it was sent originally. So Brisman where abouts in Brisbane are you? I'm out on the west side

I'm in Newmarket. I was trying to work out your reference no. for your 300m, am I right in saying a "Watchco", if so, nice one, they do them very well.

I'm relatively new to Rolex, just to get off topic for a moment, what is the "ghost" reference to that great looking 1680 you have. I'm trying to learn, I'm after a vintage Rolex this year and trying to decide which one.

Ghost just means the bezel is washed out so badly that it has turned silver, it looks grey in photos but in reality when you look like it, it has the appearance of a brake rotor or circular saw blade around the submariner dial. My SM300 is a watchco on mesh, most comfortable watch I've ever worn in my life, the tapered case fits your wrist like a glove, unlike the flat submariner case, and the mesh wraps around you perfectly, I wear it more than the 1680 by far.

Should really round up the other Bris and GC guys and meet up some time, theres at least another 7-8 on here.

Sorry, I've made a mistake. I believe the different reference no's only refer to the different hands. Cal 552 is for no date and Cal 565 is for date for either model.

Sorry for any confusion. I think I'm right this time.

Anyone like to confirm?

I saw a buddy last night I knew had a vintage Omega. He's one of the only fellow WIS I know. He showed me his mid-60's Geneve Pie Pan he was wearing. He said it was very rare. It was in beautiful condition. Now I want a vintage Pie Pan too...

Damn I would love to find the perfect Connie, but all of the ones that I have found have been on eBay for the most part and have all been in pretty rough shape and overpriced. Oh well I guess I've just gotta keep lookin.
