Day-Date,

https://www.ebay.com/itm/ROLEX-MENS-...YAAOSwb9Baz460

Seller lists every part as aftermarket. He is essentially selling an entirely fake watch, listing each individual part as aftermarket. There doesn't appear to bea single Rolex part on the watch.

IMO the case is where I draw the line. I have no problem with an eta movement in a Rolex
As long as it's disclosed.

I do.

Reported with comment:

Seller has stated that this doesn't have a Rolex movement.
But it is still a fake Rolex.

This is clearly a fake, it's not just aftermarket parts. Look at the sticker on the back... Reported.

yeah ive seen them... one of the local gray dealers had a guy come in with one... they refused to buy and told the guy "yes its solid gold but its not a rolex"
Needless to say the guy who owned it was pissed and was convinced when he bought it that it was genuine...also from hong kong

Does not matter if it is disclosed, it is being sold as a Rolex. Clear trademark violation since it is no longer a Rolex.

Lol, disclaimer at the bottom "PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE THIS ITEM IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THE DESCRIPTION IN FULL!" with the no return policy.

Looks likes they're just trying to catch a fish.

definitely looking for a drunk bidder thinking they are getting a deal only to find they are just over paying for scrap gold and some junk.

Well, you would be wrong.

If I fitted Genuine Swiss ETA 2824 into my genuine 16030 Datejust, would it cease to be a Rolex, and now a counterfeit?

In my opinion, anything with a logo, or other branding, not manufactured by the original manufacturer is contraband.

I have a bigger problem with these "refinished" dials on eBay. They are NOT refinished dials, they are downright fake... printed in asia, on a piece of generic brass. Listed as "aftermarket" "repainted" or "refinished", and fetch a couple hundred dollars.
