Cartier Santos

This will be my next acquisition for Xmas. I’ve been pretty set in the blue dial, however, with the release of the medium size I’m torn between the two. I do like a date window as I glance mainly at the date at work. But the medium size feels more classic and true to a Cartier. That’s just me tho. 6.5in wrist. Do have pieces ranging from 34-43mm but for this Cartier not sure which direction to go

Overall the bracelet looked better for me, but was too huge for my taste. In addition I found the XL too thick, so I went for the medium size.

Merry Xmas! :)

imo cartier is better smaller. like you said, it's more true to the brand. both look great on you but i would go with the medium for the classic look

I feel the medium is more classic Cartier, as well. And am also torn between the M and L. Was surprised at how large the L felt, and I’m coming in with 7.5” wrist. I’ve got some time to decide, and can’t go wrong with either. But damn, if the medium had date, it’d be problem solved.

Is the blue medium a more vibrant blue now. I had the original L blue and felt it was meh, with barely any pop. In current pics it looks like the blue shade has changed?

I'm thinking of a Santos, too, and I'm leaning medium size, too

I think the way to decide is the full-length mirror method.

I had a green medium Santos and recently sold it. I thought the watch dial was too small for me and I have smaller wrist size. If I have to do it again, I’d pick the large for dark dials and medium for white dial.

In my opinion, Cartier looks better in a smaller size. As you mentioned, it aligns more with the brand's essence. Both sizes suit you well, but I'd lean towards the medium for that timeless appearance.

I think it depends on if you are going to get more than one Cartier. There are a lot of options in the more classic size, so you could get the large for this one. If you are looking for one Cartier, and you don't have a huge wrist, I would get the more classic medium. Make sure you try on the medium with a strap and not just the bracelet. One of the great things about this watch is how easy you can change the strap, and a watch on a strap versus the bracelet is a different wearing experience.

Yeh - I’ve tried so many large models and decided I need one that’s Medrge (37.5mm)

I also preferred medium size to large on Cartier Santos.

Go with Medium! I have 7.2 wrist and prefer the medium. From an aethestic perspective the bezel to bracelet proportions blend well whereas it looks super weird to me on the Large sizes. However if you decide on Large id go with blue dial and blue pvd coated bezel version

I purchased the Large for my 7" wrist. Just a matter of personal preference. I put it on the ADLC strap for a sportier look.

Then bought the medium for my wife.

I think it depends on how big your wrist is. I got the large and it looked perfect to me. My wife got the smaller one.
